There are so many facets to this shop. They serve pretty good coffee, tea, cakes, slices and cookies. Although the casual staff who often serve seem like they really don’t want to be there, or at least speak to customers. The supermarket aspect is huge, with vast ranges of organic health food products, prices accordingly. They ice cream range for cones is good. They also have an indoor and out door seating arrangements but tables are often vacant but not cleaned. I reckon I’d give it 3.5 stars but 4 seems fairer than 3.

Used to come here all the time however have stopped recently as the quirky of coffee has dropped a lot over the past few months. The coffee has tasted burnt and almost undrinkable and a lot of the time I just can’t drink the coffee at all. Also the milk consistency has gone out the window aswell sometimes the coffee is to cold or to hot.

Update July 2024- had a toastie with chicken and a latte. Also bought some feta cheese, really have a wide selection of deli items to choose from. Probably my only criticism is the tables where we eat always seem to be dirty and not all the chairs have cushions but overall it’s a very nice place and the toilets are much cleaner this time around. Napkins are still not easy to come by.

Girls behind the juice bar would rather stand and talk then do their job. Waited ten minutes for a few scoops of ice cream because she was telling stories in between each scoop. Catch up after work if you want to talk.

Ambarella (not fine foods): This place operates under the banner of “Fine Foods” but this is totally misleading.
We are big fans of some of the deli products they carry but our latest experience is beyond the pale. Ok so we did not check the use-by date on the usually delish Goose Liver Pate with black truffles, but hey this place says "fine foods", so one would expect management would be on top here?
But No. We get home and the pate is horribly moldy, and yes it is nearly 2 weeks beyond use-by date. Yes, they refunded immediately and we noticed that the shelves had been stripped of everything we saw the previous day, so maybe not the first to return rubbish. No reflection on the manufacturer of the wonderful pate, we will search elsewhere. BUT never going back to Ambarella for fine foods it is not.
