Bought top professional timing light . New in box for 3 years never used. Needed it and doesn't work. Called place of purchase and all I got was out of warranty. Warranty! If this sits on shelf for 3 years it's 12 months form sale . I get it ? But new ?. I'd appreciate some feedback on what can SP do for me ? Thanks.

Nutsert gun SP69010. I was chuffed when my son gave this to me for christmas, went to use and doesn't come with nutsert nuts, no problem purchased a multi pack of nuts. Needed to use the 4mm mandrel, back nut would not screw in ? being a fitter for over 40 years , I can fix this, no I can't the thread has been poorly made and is not a thread but a series of parallel grooves if used will damage the unit it screws into and the other mandrels won't work, yes I may be able to use the others but I needed the 4mm, time and effort wasted, very unhappy with the product.

I recently had a very positive backup customer service experience with SP tools on an item which was actually out of warranty. A replacement was offered without any question. Add on top of owning and using a number of their high quality specialised tools and I would recommend SP Tools to anyone in the trade or just after a quality product with good backup and at a good price!

SP Tools make some phenomenal tools so its disappointing their customer service is absolutely atrocious.

Placed an order, of which 4 of 5 items were in stock. Although it showed in stock on their website, and continues to do so 8 days after I placed the order I was informed that the fifth and most expensive item wasn't actually in stock and they were not expecting it in for another three weeks. When I asked if they could provide a guarantee of a date for delivery their reply was "It is only ever an estimate until we have the goods in our warehouse. Often things can happen that are out of our control."

So basically they are happy to take your money for an item they know they don't have in stock, they give you a timeframe of when they expect to have the item in stock but then acknowledge that they actually have little idea of when they will receive it in stock and can give no guarantees. On top of all of that after acknowledging that their website is showing incorrect stock levels they don't change the display to the correct stock levels.

Disappointing experience, if you actually need the tools that you are purchasing to run a business avoid at all costs as the time lost dealing with this business is not worth it.
