I have spent a lot of time down here recently; watching the rushing waters arrive on Feb 16th 2020 to fill a dry and empty channel; the arrival of the pelicans, locals swimming and children catching fish with their bare hands. The pelicans have stayed, and little black cormorants seem to have multiplied.. there’s a sense of serenity about the place, now the initial excitement is over. For the moment, the river flows muddily, as silt is loosened and the first flush occurs. Life comes back. Look at the pics. A river has come back to Life.
