I have purchased boerewors from Field to Fork on two occasions and have been happy with the quality. However, something I regret is ordering their potato salad -- which turned out to be an embarrassing disaster. Two large tubs of raw, oversalted insult for my guests.

Is not the first time I get disappointed with this place but now it was over the line.

Monday I bought beef ribs and and I keep it on the fridge. Today(Wednesday ) when I took out for cook it was already smelling off and it was green colour! Yes! Green colour! If the meat is fresh shouldn’t get off in only in 2/3 days!

Also in another episode the owner was very rude with me because I asked to look close the beef ripes. I believe is fair I pick what I’m paying for.
My partner just mentioned also he sold the chicken off to him.
Definitely I’ll not back anymore

I saw some delicious looking lamb cutlets here yesterday so bought 6. When the lady serving packed them she picked up 3 cutlets and packed 2, returning the top one to the display (x3 times). Have unpacked cutlets now to cook, only to find they look remarkably different to the 'display cutlets' I thought I had bought. Marbled with heavy fat and much less lamb. Disappointing for $90 a kilo. My first and last shop here.

Irresponsible for a place that sells food to not know/be reluctant to find out the ingredients in their food-

I asked what was in the marinade of the skewers and asked if there was any dairy/wheat. The lady serving me wasn't sure so she asked her boss/colleague, he shook his head as if it was a ridiculous question, and flippantly said there isn't any. I didn't get the impression he actually new what the ingredients were. I asked if there was any gluten in the soy marinaded skewers and he said "if you're concerned about it, don't eat here". So I didn't. They wouldn't tell me what the ingredients of any of the marinades were. If it does have wheat or other allergens and someone who has Celiac disease or serious allergies eats there after being told it doesn't, you guys could be responsible for someone's life. It is your responsibility as a place that sells food, to know what's in your food and to be able to convey that to customers'.

I have called up previously to ask about the sausage rolls because my dad has a serious allergy to dairy, and they had no problem in checking and telling me it did. So, maybe it was just the guy I interacted with today.

Unfortunately, they've lost my business - 1) I don't want to be reprimanded for asking what ingredients are in the food I'm going to eat! It should be normal to know what's in the food you're eating. And 2) it can be very dangerous if people get the wrong information about food ingredients but these guys don't seem to care about that.

Incompetence followed up by denial. Don't waste your time with their 'catering' option as they have no system in place to communicate the order, prepare it and have it ready for you. We learned this the hard way and were left disappointed (along with all of our guests) - nothing to eat thanks to Field to Fork Bondi. To make matters worse, after stuffing up the order & not having it ready for me on the day (as previously agreed when ordered); they denied any wrong doing! ... well weren't they shocked when I showed them all my call logs and that the order was placed from their Bondi location after all. No apology, no accountability and no care given. Please stop offering catering if you're just going to disappoint your customers & deny any wrong doing. Shocking experience and lost customer forever - seek a more reliable butcher elsewhere.

Shop: trendy, lots of merchandise, some curio, lots of interesting and uncommon products
Service: lots of staff, good humoured, quick, friendly
Products: literally the best meat I have ever eaten ever. You can throw away your knives and cut your steak with your index finger. Snags are amazing. Haven’t eaten my rissoles yet but I’m quietly confident they will be amazing. Beef sausages seem like they’re about 10% fat, never seen it before and sooo good. You will pay top dollar but these are the best meat products you can get so really it’s a deal. Think of it like paying $200K for a $300K Porsche.

Overall: even the paper or plastic bags they use feel high quality. I don’t know of any better butcher.
