Beautifully flavoured meals.
The kids milkshakes got a thumbs up from each kids, and we even stole a few sips and were greatly surprised.
Very nice experience

Cafe is Opposite a small park with a skate park, swing set, rockers and see-saw. Has some under cover area aswell and a public toilet… which is great for us with loud and active children

My son and I drove into Eudlo and immediately headed for the General Store for breakfast. What a gem! The cafe front was freshly painted and inside it also looked like it had been renovated. The 'Specials' board had swimmer crab omelette and smoked salmon with potato rosti, egg, capers, dill sour cream. There was plenty of crab in the omelette and it also had Vietnamese salad on the side. It was all delicious! Jason (the owner) cooked our breakfasts. His wait staff were friendly, personable, and paid attention to detail. He has GFO, VGO, and Vegan Options on his menu. His prices are very good. The cafe had a good vibe about it, and it was nearly full when we arrived. It is an hour's drive north from Bribie Island and just 1.5 hours from Brisbane. This is a "must visit" cafe. It will not disappoint you.

Nice toasties and pies. Good coffee. Friendly service. No vegan options. I wish there were more local gourmet products to buy as the range is a bit small. Eudlo is a lovely tiny little town which is an enjoyable drive and Eudlo General Store is a nice place to visit if you are driving through. It is dog friendly with outdoor seating available.

Famous now for the Ford Ranger commercial..Food looked and smelt great. Coffee was worth the trip! That's from someone who lives at "SIPPY DOWNS!!!!" (as referenced in the ad ?).

We passed Eudlo General Store a couple times, it seems it has good vibe and last Saturday we purposedly went there to try. The set up was impressive, open kitchen and nice clean interior. Love it.

We assumed it is ran by one family. Dad was in charge with cooking, cashier and taking orders, one daughter for coffee/ drink, older son was also on stove and youngest son was wrapping up take away / pick up orders and also cleaning table. Mom was floating around.

There were some specials on the board that included chips, but we decided to order 3 regular meals and asked the dad/cashier/chef if we could also order small bowl of chips as side meal. He said “sure, we could do that for you, it would be $4.”
I asked him to repeat the order before I paid, all were counted for.

The 3 regular meals and drinks came very quickly. The siblings delivered impressive services. Then came the mom. We assumed she was the mom… She asked if everything was delivered. We said yes except for the chips.
At first she said “No, there is no chips in the order”.
If only she responsed with “oh, I am not sure I saw chips in the order, let me check with the kitchen” everything would be fine. But she decided to not do that.

I said that I have ordered it and her husband/ cashier/chef repeated the order twice and I have paid it. She became quite defensive very quickly and said “I said there is no chips in the order, the food you chose don’t include chips, so you wont be charged for that. I am just trying to explain to you…. “

Our conversation got her husband attention, so I asked him about it, he said to his wife “yes, she ordered chips, we’ re cooking it…”. Instead of apologizing or at least acknowledging she was wrong, she (we called her Karen at that point, as she looked and acted like Karen) just shrugged and walked away.

The youngest son came with bowl of chips and delivered to table beside ours. We saw and suspected he delivered to wrong table but the diners welcomed the bowl and ate it right away so we thought they ordered chips as well. After awhile I went to the husband/ dad/cashier/chef again, asking if the chips would still come because we almost finished our meals at that time. He realized the youngest son gave it to wrong table, he apologized and cooked new ones. Our chips has finally arrived.

The food were excellent! We agreed it’s the best smokey bacon we had in a long time…eggs, sourdough and ommelette were beautifully cooked, coffee was great and chips, the centre of drama, was crunchy and fresh. We loved everything….

Until Karen decided to come by and said “are you happy now you got your chips?”
My husband who was still annoyed with her attitude decided to join the game. He explained if only she didn’t accuse us making up the chips order and instead just checked with her husband/chef/cashier, there would be no problem at all. If her husband didn’t clarify about it and we decided to think she was right, we would lose $4. She was triggered right away. She said “that’s only chips why you all made a big deal just for chips…”

But it’s not JUST a chips! It’s a matter of principle, dont you think?
She was on and on about it while we literally watching her yapping while eating chips, which was delicious by the way - at the end she made her own conclusion that we’re quite petty to complain about $4 chips, and decided to give $4 back AND let us having her chips for free AND let us enjoy the rest of our day AND she would not let everything (read: us) ruin her day. Oh my Lord.

We didn’t want the money back (I think she didnt really mean it anyway- she didnt go near the til).
The food and service were absolutely top notch. The dad/husband/cashier/chef and the children have done wonderful jobs and we made sure we let them know that. We highly recommend the place, it’s really nice place to relax on weekend, but perhaps try to avoid talking to Karen.

Tried some frozen pies when friends bought 6 pies (4 beef, 2 chicken) for $71 total. They were hefty, chunky, and pretty flavoursome. We didn't have any eggs on hand to do the egg wash part of the cooking process, but they were fine and went down quite well. Hope to visit in person at some stage and try some fresh pies.

Have never been so badly mistreated by an establishment before in my life. We were a large group of 15 people and we asked if we may push some tables together like the other group of 12 people had on the other side of the back eating area. We were refused this despite there being no one on those tables nor was it blocking the way of anyone. We put the children on one table and squished the adults together, they asked us due to them being a small kitchen to order in smaller groups, so four of us out in our first order and paid. 15 minutes passed and our next 4 people went to put their orders in and were refused service by the rude lady who I assume was the mum due to their kitchen not being able to handle so many people. We said we are happy to wait and understand they are a small kitchen and she said no you will have to find someone else to eat. We who put our orders in first asked if we could receive a refund as they were refusing service to our group and were refused this also. I’m not even sure if that is legal to do? We did not receive any food nor could we have our money back for food we didn’t receive. The lady then told us we were rude and impolite and made a huge scene in front of the rest of the guests for asking for our money back, we could not have been more understanding and kind but to refuse our money back for something we never received was so disappointing. The family who run this establishment now have ruined a beautiful place that used to be such a welcoming cafe to have coffee and a good bite to eat. My family and I will never be returning to support this business due to one horrible lady who is now the owner.
