The place where I feel at peace and can truly relax. Every detail, from the lighting in each room to the overall design, has been thoughtfully considered. My favorite part is the cinema—it’s clean, cozy, and perfect for an art student. They even offer free movie screenings sometimes, which is a wonderful bonus.

I do wish they had a dedicated space to showcase cute, illustrative art—it would make the experience even better.

Very nice collections. We enjoyed the Iris van Herpen
Sculpting the Senses exhibit. Unbelievable use of materials to create the illusions and effects. The museum is free, you only pay for the special exhibit if you want to see it.

Wow what an amazing artistic designer. The exhibition was fantastic and I loved learning about the different methods of creating fashion through 3D design. Her outfits are something I had never seen anything like before and thoroughly enjoyed my day visiting GOMA to experience. I didn’t allow myself enough time to see it all (3.5hrs) so may need to go back. Was great to have attended the keynote talk prior to seeing the exhibition.

Most incredible wedding reception venue. The team at GOMA were amazing hosts, the chef prepared the most perfect three course meals, great beverage selection and overall we loved the venue and atmosphere- thank you GOMA

Beautifully presented exhibition! I had not planned to see this but was visiting Brisbane. I was impressed by how enjoyable it was even without an interest in fashion. I would recommend this to anyone who is curious and interested in something different.

I had been excited to visit the Iris ‘Magic’ Exhibition as soon as it was announced that GOMA would be hosting her designs. I had been following her socials for a while, in awe of her beautiful designs. They stood out to me. My breathe was taken and I held my hand to my heart as I navigated my way through the exhibition. Life changing. I purchased the Exhibition Book and went out and bought a sewing machine inspired by her creativity. A must see. As a Visual Art Teacher, I intend to expose them to her work to ensure the next generation is inspired to be creatve and follow their creatve hearts. ?

The Iris van Herpen exhibition (2024) is incredible, highly recommended. Brilliantly curated, well done GOMA and to the artist. It’s a thought provoking, visually stunning experience and the works are of a very high level of technical and artistic sophistication.
Also the GOMA building itself is a work of art in its own right.
Unfortunately the permanent exhibits were being rotated when we visited… so can’t comment on these (but will return).
