Just had the most amazing service there, with so much caring and trust shown to me in regard to fitting and payment for new wiper blades. The young man stopped his job to supply and fit them for me, and was prepared to forgo payment as there were no office staff available, but then agreed to let me pay later or not. What a genuine, beautiful soul. Will be back when I need my next service instead of Toyota if I'm still here with my housesitting....

I am not saying that they are terrible mechanics, probably they know what they are doing. BUT I guess whenever they get a chance to cheat on you they will do. Their job was to fix the clutch and some other things (they probably have done the other jobs well). But they just got the old clutch working again somehow, but charged us a new clutch kit. About 8 months later the clutch wasn't working again. We opened it with the help of friends and a mobile mechanic came by to replace it. He was 100% sure that this was an old clutch (3 of 4 Springs where broken and one piece blocked the clutch to release). We made pictures and send it to a friend in Bundaberg who confronted them with the facts. He got the money for the clutch kit back for us! (so they definitely admited it) Another 2 months later we were finally back in Bundi, I visited them to see how they are dealing with direct confrontation and wanted to ask for a bit more compensation (since we had a lot of extra work to fix the clutch a second time). For them it's done, leaving the office and telling me that we are finished and stop any conversation with me. I am really disappointed about these guys, since Australians are normally quite nice.

for over 20 yrs I have been a customer at kalkie auto and up to recently not one issue , I wont rant ill just say if your changing mechanics make sure they look after your customers ,, extremely dissapointed , im no longer a customer

At very short notice, had a service done here this week. I called them in the morning and they said, 'bring it up at lunchtime'.
Great value for money, probably the cheapest service I've had in a while. They did have trouble with one filter, but they let me know and eventually it was sorted at no extra cost.
Definitely recommend, good old fashion service.

Very prompt... Service and experience A1.. Kalkie Motors honesty and advice surprised me.. Not like many other mechanics who only see $$$.. I'm new up here... And I believe I've found someone who I can trust.. To look after my car and not his pocket..... I'll be back...
