Clint and his crew at Stealth Welding have had our truck in for some fabrication and repairs. Not only were the timely, but went above our expectations to keep everything looking the same. Great workmanship and glad we have found a team of dedicated people to help with any future welding. Professional from beginning to end. Office staff were also great at communicating with us about job progress.

The time had come to get rid of the old leaky fuel cell. I talked to a few people before settling on Clint and Darryl at Stealth. They explained clearly what they had in mind, we settled on a very reasonable price and in a short time the job was done. Clint had gone to extraordinary lengths to make the tank as large as possible, which meant some tricky notching around the roll bar supports. In addition he powder coated the tank in a beautiful matt black and rerouted the fuel lines. All this extra work was done with not one dollar’s variation to the original quoted price! Champion! The tank holds about eighteen more litres than the old cell, it even has a curved top panel which fits up under the curve of the car’s body, and it looks just sensational.
I’m over the moon with the workmanship and friendly service Clint and Darryl brought to this job. Not having the unnerving smell of fuel in the boot anymore is a huge bonus too.
Five out of five from me...!

VERY POOR SERVICE AND BAD ATTITUDE TO GO WITH IT!!!

*Note that I DID end up receiving a FULL REFUND but I wanted to share my experience with anyone considering getting this company to do work for them so that they can make an informed decision - this is what Google reviews are all about after all.

Following is a copy (word for word) of the feedback that I provided directly to the company yesterday and further down is one of the unrepentant attitude filled emails from them that annoyed me so much.

Thank you * for your reply.

Look I am just not sure how you calculate 7 working days between 11 April and now (deposit slip attached again FYI). Notwithstanding, if you scroll back down to your email of 12 April your words to me were ‘We will start on this next week…’

Of course nobody is perfect and in my business whenever I get something wrong I figure the best way to deal with it is to fess up, own it, apologise and move on but I guess how you run your business is not my worry any more. My biggest issue with this dealing with you guys is the excuses – e.g. ‘having issues with delivery with the steel supplier’ – this is stock standard material available from Bunnings which is why I designed it that way (so as not to have issues with delays waiting for material – in fact that is where I bought the bits on Saturday morning to get the other guy to weld for me), ‘we will start on this next week’ (me thinking that’ll be fine – I can use the trailer over Easter) then next week turning into the next next week, ‘larger customer orders taking priority’ – so even if it wasn’t Easter, if you had my job going and Clive Palmer came in I would be kicked to the kerb yes, ‘skeleton staff….’ – why didn’t you tell me this before you took the order – it is not like Easter appeared out of nowhere for all of us and was completely unforeseen.

If you feel the need to take this ‘unimpressed tone’ with me then good luck to you. I feel sure that if you walked into a shop and got bad service you wouldn’t be walking away saying to your self ‘all good, all good…’. Perhaps take a moment of reflection and have a look at this from my point of view then decide if it is reasonable to send me an email with bad maths in it.

Please feel free to pass my comments on to your director (if you wish).

Hi Steve

We are happy to give you a refund, however I would like to point out that from the date the deposit was received it has been 7 working days to complete this job which we believe is a very reasonable amount of time for a custom job. Further to that there was no ETA provided by myself, I did inform you that we were waiting on the material and would get it started.

If you could please forward through your bank details at your earliest convenience, I will have our Manager deposit the funds back into your account.

Thank you and our sincere apologies we could not fill this order in your preferred timeframe.

"Poor workmanship" as quoted from one of there own fabricators when viewing the canopy and tray that was delivered to me. Not to mention the 3 month delay. I would steer clear of this place.
