We stopped in to stock up on some meat when we were staying nearby and were blown away! The displays alone were impressive, then super friendly staff helped us pick some things out and told us about their awards. And of course, the meat was fantastic! The Tuscan meatballs were an absolute highlight - I wish this was my local butchers!

Awesome quality meat. The only carnivore sausages I’ve seen anywhere, and they were perfect!! The nitrite-free bacon was also fabulous, as were the scotch fillets. Thanks Marsh Butcheries … kept me eating well on my holiday.

March Butcheries are HANDS-DOWN THE BEST!! Our family has shopped loads of butcher shops in the Cairns region (even the Tablelands, on down to Innisfail). We are more than happy to say that we trust the Marsh family when it comes to quality of meat that our family eats! I've finally done it. After years of friends, coworkers, and complete strangers cornering me at parties to preach the gospel of Marsh's bacon with an almost religious fervor, I gave in. You know the type - those people whose eyes glaze over with a weird cultish enthusiasm as they describe the "life-changing experience" of those crispy pork strips.

"You've NEVER had Marsh's bacon?" they'd gasp, clutching their chests like I'd just admitted to never having seen sunlight. "Oh my god, you HAVE to try it. Have to. This is a moral imperative."

Well, bacon disciples, you win. I tried it, and... F*** me, you were right. That first salty, smoky bite was like a flavor explosion that made all my previous breakfast experiences seem like sad, bacon-less shadows. The way it melts in your mouth when you bite into it, the Canadian maple giving the perfect balance of smoky and sweet, the way it makes everything else on the plate taste better just by being in its divine presence.

I now understand the glazed looks. The evangelical fervor. The way bacon devotees work it into literally every conversation ("Oh, you're getting married? You know what would make that wedding better? You should serve Marsh's bacon at the reception!.")

Consider me converted. Where do I get my membership card for the Marsh's Bacon Appreciation Society? Do we have secret handshakes? Monthly meetings? I'm ready to spread the word.
