I recently purchased a 1970s unit that had water proofing issues in the bathroom. I got a number of different quotes. Phillip's prices were by far the most competitive. So much so, that other companies were all of a sudden able to bring their prices significantly down.

In our initial consultation, Phillip had a very can do attitude. The bathroom was quite small and the old layout didn't leave much room to walk around and there was almost no storage. Phillip recommended a new bathroom layout that would maximise the space I had and provide more that enough storage.

Work started on the date I had requested. Every day there was progress being made. Phillip contacted me if he thought something I had picked wouldn't work e.g. the grout colour and provided alternatives to ensure I more cohesive look.

I hated walking into my old bathroom, but can easily say that I love how it turned out.

I am really happy with the end result. We did 2.5 Bathroom renovations. Old bathrooms were about 20 years old. Quote was very reasonable, no hidden charges, good advices and Phil's attention to detail was amazing. All the major work done by Phil that made us very comfortable. Demolition work done in such a way, no dust, no carpet damage, no wall damage in the house. All the work very neat and nice.

APS Bathrooms and Kitchens was recommended by our local Beaumont Store when we decided to renovate our main bathroom.
Philip from APS was one of 3 to quote. One of the 3 we dismissed within minutes.
Although APS were not the cheapest, the quote was reasonable considering it was marginally higher than our spend on our ensuite pre-COVID.
Our reasons for choosing APS were - small deposit with no hefty progress payments and Philip assured completion within 2 to 3 weeks. Philip also appeared to be very professional in his manner.
The work commenced on time and the project was meticulously managed by Philip at every stage. The only downtimes were essential drying times for waterproofing and rendering etc. Philip did not just project manage but was hands on in every aspect of the job.
His team were very courteous and hardworking, always starting early each morning. The contractors he used for tiling and installing the new cornice were equally outstanding. Amazingly we did not experience a single days delay between tasks which was important for us as both my wife and I work in demanding jobs.
As APS have a small tip truck and there was never any rubbish left on site on any day. Philip used a drop sheet that comes in a roll which has a tendency to stick to the floor so the dirt mostly remains on the sheets and the sheets also minimise the risk of tripping etc. We have polished hardwood floor boards and when the job was completed and the sheets removed there was not a scratch. Philip and his team were thorough in cleaning the inside and outside of the house.

To sum our experience with APS was :
* reasonably priced quote and no surprise additional costs
* flexible project commencement date and extremely well managed project
* no large progress payments
* the highest quality work
* reliable and courteous workers and other contractors
* very clean during and on completion
* Philip was also very responsive at all times to our queries and any concerns

Scope of works:
* demolish existing bathroom
* rendering of walls and laying cement floor
* plumbing for toilet, basin, bath and shower
* waterproofing
* tiling
* installing accessories including recessed shaving cabinet and mirror
* installing new cornices

Exclusions:
* electrical
* painting
* installing glass panel for the shower

It was obvious, Philip takes great pride in his work and the results speak for themselves. Definitely recommend using APS!

The best recommendation is real life experience. When I saw the APS sign in a neighbour's front yard I visited and got a favourable report. I engaged APS to completely renovate our ensuite bathroom. I found the principal (Phillip) to be a knowledgeable and friendly person who helped me immensely through the process of design, selection and construction. The quality of work was outstanding and the price was excellent. I can genuinely recommend APS.

APS renovated two bathrooms (main and ensuite) for us between Feb and May 2024. The company came highly recommended. Phil and his team were reliable, professional, courteous and efficient. While we engaged Phil to demolish old existing, provide plumbing services and construct & fit out new facilities, he gave some valuable and worthwhile input re design, which we heeded.
We found the price quoted to be competitive. Using APS gave us the flexibility to choose & arrange bathroom items, while Phil arranged electrical services, underfloor heating and shower screens for us.
Importantly, the quality of work provided by all trades (eg tiling) was of a good standard and all tradies who attended our property were a pleasure to deal with.
Communication with Phil was generally good and we had full confidence that our project was being actively managed and progressed, once underway.

We've been enjoying our modern, new bathrooms and would not hesitate to use APS again.
