Nothing is ever urgent with this council, most areas are lazy, but some people in reception and the after hours call centre are very helpful while others don't care!
I think incompetence is a criteria for employment
Do not return urgent calls and require you to walk into their office to find out what is happening. Previous dealing for a DA took approximately 8 months for straight forward rear yard upgrade

Cheap & incompetent is best describes Cananda Bay council. The Seawall replacement at Armitage Reserveis deplorable.
Rate payers weren’t advised that the Seawall will be changed from the original retaining wall to placing cheap rocks as the boundary. You did not allow rate payers to voice our opinion. We expected like for like.

You have ruined the attraction of this area. You won’t see Woollahra council doing this. The members who are responsible for this project are incompetent & ignorant. Absolutely no thought has been put into this project.

Appalling upgrade at the Seawall at
Armitage Reserve. Very cheaply done. The area looked great prior now looks like a dump. Shows you have lots of simple minded incompetent people working for this council. 1 star from me

Incompetent smooth brain councillors have prioritised the whinges of a few rich NIMBYs over the general safety of the public in ripping up the Heath St cycling path after just 5 months. Building parking spaces instead. Seriously? Separated cycling infrastructure ensures streets are more efficient for drivers, and safe for cyclists and pedestrians. The only council to take steps backwards in ensuring roads are safe for all users. Cycling paths give people a viable alternative to having to drive everywhere. Streets are safer, more pleasant to walk on and provide a neighbourly feel that is so lacking when the streets are just filled with big steel boxes. Backwards moves like this ensure our streets continue to be 'unsafe' because they are filled with fast cars, and our kids are prisoners in our homes because they cannot go anywhere without being driven by parents. Obviously NIMBYs on this street have not been to Europe. Once there, they'd realise how much better life could be without car dominance. People are fitter, happier and ironically reach their destinations faster with proper cycling infrastructure. Grow some brain cells and some balls. Move forward, not back.

Parking complaint. We all whinge about parking fines but when a council is using a parking sign that is at very best vague but more likely intentionally misleading , then having 2 parking inspectors hiding and then fining cars at an event that attracts out of area people & begins at 2pm on a Sunday it's a bit rich. When said parking inspectors then include a picture of a sign which was not the sign in the bay that you parked in as evidence to revenue NSW it's, well I can't say corrupt but I also can't think of a way to finish this sentence.

Called on a Saturday regarding an area in a nice quiet street that had several uncapped needes and other drug use paraphernalia left behind by some lovely inconsiderate people, my call was answered promptly and workers arrived and disposed of said dangerous items then followed up with a phone call to advise me. Thank you for all you do! Outstanding service. Keep up the good work!

I Rang Canada Bay council to renew a parking permit. First receptionist explained she was filling in and had no clue of requirements regards required documentation. An hour later a 2nd receptionist called me back and gave me the wrong information regards requirement, so that when I arrived to complete the process, A third front of house staff said she couldn't complete the process and then defended the 2nd receptionist saying "she would not of told you that" the uinterance I was lying. A complete waste of times.
