The airport was okay except for one lady who was telling off my kids and then rude to me when we got off the plane on arrival. About where to walk?. Telling someone about where to walk is fine to explain to people that are new to the island, but it is the manor in how she did it.
She really was a horrible lady and shouldn't be dealing with the public!

You look forward to your holiday for so long in advance and then when you arrive and you're all excited you get that upon arrival which put a damper on the first day!

Other than that, the airport is fine what you'd expect for a small island airport.

Nice touch in the toilets putting tropical flowers.

Waiting lounge can be very bussy. One cafe available does not accept cash. Card payment only also has a nice small gift store which sells soft drinks and snacks

Even on a dismal cloudy day, the warm breeze and cruisey vibe of this place is cool. We'll definitely be back for some sunny days soon!

Very small airport but has plenty of seats. There is a gift shop and a small food counter that serves food, coffee, and other drinks. The lines to check in can get very long. The airport is right by the water, it is so beautiful.

Relatively small but it is for small island usage 😂
Friendly, helpful staff and security officers. Plenty of seating inside as long as you’re happy to sit at adjoining gates (There’s 3 and they’re really not that far apart)
There’s clean amenities, a small convenience/gift shop and a cafe area.

It’s a small airport but the most beautiful airport I have ever never landed. Ferry ⛴️ is nearby and buggy rental check in on the left hand side with all the check in desks.

Hamilton Island Airport is super easy for a small airport. There is not a huge selection for food options with only one food outlet serving sandwiches, sushi, drinks and pies. We have flown both Jetstar and Virgin from Hamilton and both times were good especially with kids in tow and wow what a view on landing and departure.

Highly recommended. We went in May/June and it was still warm enough to swim and wear summer clothing. Definitely hire a buggy so you can get about the island with ease.
