We stayed 4 nights in the pool room and enjoyed every minute.||The food was fantastic from breakfast through to dinner, and the wines paired well. My only comment would be that the portion sizes are rather large, but the team are happy to accommodate smaller servings when asked. ||We wanted to explore the barrier reef and the team recommended a helicopter tour with a local provider. We chose the “best of both worlds” trip, which we would highly recommend. ||Would definitely recommend over the more built up resorts.

We had an awesome time. Nathan our boat driver on our Whitehaven tour was beyond great! He was very knowledgeable and found some quiet spots to enjoy our day! The staff are amazing and our yoga instructor was very good at tailoring the experience to novices. We really enjoyed the food, the chefs are exceptional.

This gem of a retreat was exactly what me and my husband needed after a rough year. We stayed in December at the height of the wet season. It rained at various levels 3 out of the 4 days we were there but that did not affect our experience in the least. I believe it added to it. Soon after arriving I booked not 1 but 2 spa sessions; a massage and the next day a salt scrub. I felt so rejuvenated! One should not miss out on the spa experience. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. I even did Yoga every morning because Eva made it enjoyable and I don't do Yoga. The rooms were very clean, well stocked (drinks, bug spray, sun block, etc.) and quite comfortable. We love that there are only 10 huts with a max of 20 adults. We lucked out and had the place to ourselves for the first 24 hours. More couples arrived in the days that followed and everyone was so lovely to get along with. We did a whole lot of nothing during our stay which is exactly why I booked Elysian. However, if you want to do some non-motorized water activities those are available along with some hiking. We enjoyed all the delicious 5 star meals and drinks! The property is a dream and we are looking forward to going back someday.

Note: We were able to take the amphibious boat in from Airlie Beach. If you are going in and out of Hamilton Island, you do need take a helicopter.

A real hidden gem! Food was amazing! Staff were exceptional and catered to our every whim. Rooms were very comfortable (best comfy beds). Lots of fun activities and wildlife. Yoga leader was amazing (and I don't normally do yoga!) Perfect getaway. We'll be back!

Could not have picked a better spot to honeymoon for 5 nights. We were incredibly lucky to have had one day at Elysian all to ourselves during the wet/unpredictable season that turned out to be beautifully sunny, and had the absolute best day. Shoutout to the entire crew who made our stay amazing, extra shoutout to Rhea who runs ops for the resort - she literally does it all and so well. Pics speak for itself food-wise.

We spent our honeymoon at this amazing eco-exclusive resort on Long Island, and it was incredible! We returned exactly a year after our proposal, and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
Service:
The staff was fantastic, even fulfilling a special request that needed off-shore coordination. They really made us feel special.
Relaxation:
I've never been more relaxed. The massages were out of this world, and the vibe was just right—never too much.
Food:
The food was amazing! Everything was included, and each meal was the best we’ve ever had.
Environment:
Loved the eco-friendly approach. It added to the natural beauty without taking away any luxury.

We can’t wait to come back. It was the best we’ve ever felt and a perfect way to celebrate our love. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable getaway!

This place is a hidden gem! Cannot fault anything. We had a 3 night stay for our wedding anniversary. The staff were amazing. The food was delicious. The bed was comfortable. What more can I say! Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back!!

The Elysian Luxury Eco Island Retreat is where you go to escape.||In July ‘24, I experienced its magic firsthand. Unique, quiet, peaceful—that’s the setting. The team ensures you feel at home. With just a few huts, meeting all staff and guests is easy if you wish. It’s one of the world’s best places to “get away from it all.”||Think contemporary: like a local coffee roaster meets Los Angeles. Service? Casual but good. I LOVED the food. We needed to change my reservation, and the team, led by Alice that week, went above and beyond. That kind of service is rare.||Perhaps best to visit during Australian spring, summer, or autumn. The rooms are simple, but fully equipped and sufficient, especially for eco-conscious travelers.||PS: Both the helicopter and boat transfers are fantastic. If the sea is calm, I'd almost prefer the boat--so much to see. But arriving by air was also a thrill.||Thanks to the team for the magical stay! Until next time!
