We used National Removals for a move to Melbourne. Let me give you a little heads up. They are super quick to follow up with a quote and call you to secure your deposit but once you've paid it all goes downhill. As you will appreciate moving at the best of times is stressful but combine that with a removalist who won't give you a definite confirmation of the pick up date and time it takes stress to a whole other level. When phoning to convey our grievances, the female Manager of their Brisbane office cancelled the move and left us high and dry. Fortunately, we discovered at that same time that the removalist they outsourced to pick up the load arrived at the same time she cancelled it and the removalists even confirmed that she is crazy and a power tripper. The company they outsourced it to, held it for 7 days waiting for a backload to Melbourne. Tasmanian Removalists picked it up and took it to Melbourne. All up we waited 3 weeks for this to arrive and because of the multiple handling, furniture was damaged. I wouldn't recommend National Removals to my worst enemy. We ended up using an independent company for our return and were so impressed with him. His name is Sean and his company is Icon removals and they are based in Hervey Bay and travel every week to Sydney and Melbourne. If you are looking for someone to move your car, we highly recommend Carways. They were awesome for the move down and back.

The WORST removal company I have ever used.

They don’t even deserve the one star that I had to select. I would give them minus five stars..

I contacted this company to arrange pickup and delivery of my belongings from Queensland to Victoria.

This company sent a subcontracting removal company called Willmove.

Willmove came to my home, did not label one thing as they packed it all into the truck to head back to their depot. I asked them whilst packing their truck “how will you know what’s mine and what’s someone else’s”... there response “we will know”...

How wrong I was to believe that.

To cut a 3 month story short. After a month of initial collection, my things arrived with a third of what I owned missing. I then found out that the missing items were spread across a couple of warehouses. One item in particular a $3500 computer, just sitting on a floor in a warehouse somewhere..

I then received a second delivery on a Saturday afternoon with no notice of my things even coming that day. Lucky I was home...

I received most of my things, however there are still two boxes missing which I will never see again.

As well as a very important piece to a wood turning lathe just gone, nowhere to be found and a charger and battery for some power tools.

National removals not once during the three months of trying to get my stuff back could they tell me where it was. Every time I called their office, they would say the same thing. “I don’t know where your stuff is”... what kind of removal company does not know where your stuff is!!! They are responsible for all of it the moment it is picked up.

They did however inform me that one of my two missing boxes had found its way to them and that they would have it couriered to me. Did I receive that box...No! It’s still out there in the world somewhere I imagine or sitting in their office.. perhaps they have just thrown it away like it was nothing...

I would highly discourage anyone from using this company!!!

Hi all. Moved from Sydney to Brisbane in April. Turned up on time but poor planning and packing lead to a $4000 TV being a write off. Did not want to know about it and stopped answering emails after I chased them up. Arrived on time for delivery day which was great but had wrong container on truck. Had to drive 2 hours to get the right one. A large number of items are marked and damaged the workers were rough with everything showing little respect for the house we sold and the new one we moved to. Some of the team are experienced but they hire part time grunt workers with little experience. So much for the 35 years experience. Driver injured after a walking machine fell on his leg whilst rushing backwards up a steep driveway with a rushing worker pushing. Horrible.

Check their reviews online - it's ugly. Avoid these guys like the plague.

Go elsewhere and be careful as they advertise under a few names. Worst removalist I ever used. Had they addressed the issues it may be different but ignoring customers with a problem is a sign of a bad business management.

WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!
I had this company move my furniture interstate, and my furniture was damaged and well as rental property. Very unprofessional in dealing with customers issues, had a lot of problems trying to seek some form of compensation for damages, phone call and email after email. To this day, still no luck. Company simply don't care, once money is paid. Will never use this company again, and would highly recommend other people don't if they possibly want to experience what I went through or similar. Worst moving company ever!!!

I was moving interstate a one bedroom apartment where we sold off most of our furniture before hand. This company are possibly the most useless people I have dealt with. At first it seemed easy, they were back-loading our things so it was quite cheap and you could edit your inventory online. Then closer to the move things went down hill quickly! Firstly they moved the pick up time forward a week and told us on the Thursday afternoon the new pick up date was Saturday which meant we had to finalise and pay the inventory by Friday morning! After frantically trying to finish packing and creating a correct inventory around our work (because this is all happening on weekdays) I managed to get the new inventory and pay off the new quote (which had only gone up by about 20% even though we had quite a few additions) and because of the change they let me pay by Friday late rather than morning. Then on Friday afternoon they change the pick up date to now be Monday, but don't tell the actual truckie doing the work so he calls on Saturday and asks whether instead of coming that day (because he didn't know of the changes) would we be ok with doing it Sunday, to which we gave the affirmative because we were ready at this point. Then when the truck arrives he still has the OLD inventory and so has to make note of the all the extra items (which I'd already informed and payed for). So I think this will be the last mess around and now that the truck has picked everything up I can get a scheduled day of arrival so I can prepare for the unloading. But no. I called twice to ask when the truck would arrive and got the "we'll give you a call back today after I speak to the logistics manager" and never got a call back! So the third day I stayed on hold while they checked only to be told by a nation wide company that they had no idea what day the truck was arriving (seriously?!) and that I should call back in another week because they'd have a better idea then. So I'm stuck with my furniture on the move and no way to book a storage container because I don't know when I'll see it! Then it gets even better because apparently they have tacked on ANOTHER 20% extra cost for "items that weren't on the inventory". When I queried this they admitted that yes the driver had the wrong inventory but they checked and this really was extras. So I then asked how the addition of a few more items (and the subtraction of others that weren't there, because they listed the pedestal fan in its box differently to me listing it as a box) somehow costs the same as when I added substantially more items then that (refer to previous inventory change above). To which there answer was that they estimated the floor space for my other inventory to be only 7m3 and when they packed it all it was 9m3 so the charge was for the extra 2m3... to which I can only think, "how was YOUR estimate so wrong on my original invoice!?" Because the extra items they listed sure don't take up 2m3 and I did my inventory based on the actual measured dimensions of my boxes and referenced it to the dimensions of the boxes they had available to choose from.
So all in all they have bad customer service, bad quoting service, unprofessional logistics management, and I will NEVER use them again. It seems they are cheap for a reason.

Very unimpressed with this company. After messing me around for 4 weeks to arrange a date for transport of our goods interstate. We agree upon a date that works. I have arranged everything for a date to move. Including leaving my house. So its all booked in and ready to go. Less than 1 week prior to pick up they change the date and say sorry it doesn't work for us and basically either you do it 1 week later or your booking is cancelled. Hang on.... I have made plans that can't be changed and I am relying on your to pick up because I have to vacate my house by a certain date. Danielle couldn't care about my situation basically take it or leave. NEVER PUT YOUR TRUST IN THIS COMPANY THEY WILL MESS YOU AROUND AND LEAVE YOU WITHOUT TRANSPORT.

I am extremely disappointed in the service provided by National. Firstly, on delivery of our goods the truck was unpacked in a hurry and furniture and boxes dumped wherever a place was found. Secondly, after doing a check of all our items once the truck had left in a hurry, we discovered a few items missing. We reported this to National via telephone and email and there has been no response or apology as to the whereabouts of our good. It's been a week and still awaiting feedback.

I don't know where to start with this disgusting thieving rude lying company. How they can get away with what they do is amazing. They probably think they have got away with it....but they have not.I am going to A Currant Affair and I want you all to support me so this doesn't go on any longer. We also had a dodgy guy named Junior turn up with 3 mates. In a hire truck with not enough room for all of our furniture. We couldn't call anyone to resove it ..they were closed and luckily we we able to leave our leftover furniture with a friend. Probably a blessing as a large very expensive marble top wall unit and a French provincial lounge suite didn't arrive. And apparently they weren't on the truck. The truck that we helped them load. A woman naned Jane was so rude when we rang her and she hung up on us every time we rang. Junior tried to make some money on the side by saying he could fit a bit more on the truck but we would have to pay him straight away. Nothing but a pack of thieves. I have a mail trail a mile long. My advise is to stay right away from these thieves. We also had a lot of broken goods. There depot is in Yatala. Beware
