Yes very confusing about the camping, we settled for the van park adjacent to the roadhouse on your way South. Not bad apart from the trucks using exhaust brakes.

Seems a waste not opening the show ground to camping.

Showgrounds are closed for camping. Sign outside the grounds says no camping. But website says able to camp. 8pm at night, now have to find somewhere else.

So the Springsure Showgrounds are still advertising as being open to campers, but all the signage very clearly said it was not available for camping. Anyway, we found a very nice little mown, level spot just across the road and spent a lovely quiet night there.
