I can't say enough good things about Latin Energy! From the moment I walked in, I felt the vibrant energy and enthusiasm of the instructors and fellow dancers.

The classes are fun and engaging! The instructors are always helpful if you don't understand something and provide an exceptional amount of individual feedback. Their passion for Latin dance is contagious, and they make learning new steps and techniques an enjoyable experience.

Getting privates with Debby has always been 100% worth it. She has an incredible amount of knowledge when it comes to dancing and teaching.

The studio's positive and supportive atmosphere creates the perfect setting for personal growth and building confidence on the dance floor. I'm so grateful to be a part of this dance community and have loved every moment of my dance journey with them. 🙂

If you're looking for a supportive and inclusive environment to start or improve your dancing, this is the studio. I've been dancing for years and found Debbie's salsa clinic to be just what I needed. All the fundamentals that are often neglected as you climb through the class levels are focused on here. It's a safe and supportive space to focus on what you want to improve. For all levels. I've attended a few of Debbie's other classes too, her experience shines through here and is apparent in the way her students dance. Highly recommend.

I did an intro course with a popular dance school in West End however was disappointed with the lack of dancing with the teachers themselves, and found that classes were too big. I then joined Latin Energy and I really feel at home here. Debby runs smaller class sizes and has a focus on fundamental technique before getting to more technical moves. Now I live across the river and still make the effort to get to Woolloongabba - wouldn't risk wasting time with any other school!

Let me start by saying this … I’ve been to 5 Latin dance studios across Queensland and South Australia and this is my 6th year of learning salsa. I am certainly not an instructor but I have taken enough classes to know that I need more than group classes of turn patterns or choreography. This is where Deb of Latin Energy shows me that she is in a league of her own.

If you’re keen to take your social dancing of salsa and cha cha to your next level, take Deb’s classes at Latin Energy. I’ve honestly not come across anyone with that depth of social dance knowledge like her. Deb uses a simple language and side-by-side demonstrations to explain social dance concepts that no other salsa instructors explained to me. She’s a strong advocate for fundamental techniques. You might say that intricate details and dance techniques can only be covered in private lessons. However, Deb is just that generous and selfless in sharing what she knows with her students in group classes.

Some dance instructors from elsewhere guard their dance techniques and tips until students take private lessons with them. Fortunately, this isn’t Deb’s philosophy. Whenever I have questions in class, she is always patience in answering them without slowing down the class’s pace. Her answers are not wishy-washy but practical and easy to understand.

Her wealthy of knowledge in dance not only inspires me to invest in private lessons with her to grow, but it also encourages me to explore concepts because they actually “make sense”.

Deb has basically reignited my passion for salsa.
