Helpful staff and a fantastic range for all of your brewing needs. I found their prices about the same as on the internet, some products were cheaper. On on Sunday as well, which is handy.

This shop seems to have had better days. When I went in yesterday the place was a ghost town - no staff to be found - and the shelves were very sparsely stocked. There were only a handful of beer kits and all the ones I picked up were long past the best before date. Had to go elsewhere to get what I needed.

Great service from friendly staff.
Got what I required and a bit more.
Travelled from North Lakes as everyone else were closed over Xmas and unfortunately I'd run out of gas.
Unfortunately I couldn't visit my daughter, her partner and their furballs who live about a klm away, as they are holidaying in Cairns.

I recently got into brewing my own beer and got the Mangrove Jack's starter kit from here. After looking around online, this was the cheapest starter kit I found. Overall, this place is great. I've done a couple different batches of beers now, and the lady has been helpful every time. There are a ton of different brands and overall a good selection of beer kits. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, I'll definitely be back in the future.

I have been a regular and faithful customer of this shop for the last 3.5 years or so.
Last week I had a failure in one of my heaters.
This happened after I had already made my starters, so I was pretty much committed to completing the process / pitching the starter. It was then I discovered the issue.
I quickly belted around to this shop, walked in the door at 7-minutes to 5pm.
I noticed the shops' A-frame sign on the footpath was gone, but the door opened anyway, so I went inside.
Straight away, I was met a loud groan from the man there who uttered loudly "awww, we're closed...."
I explained my predicament, that I was there to buy a heater, but he was unmoved. Not an iota of concern for what I thought was a good customer, but obviously not good enough.

How do I know it was still before the (ADVERTISED) closing time of 5pm?
Well, I live very close to Mayfield Primary School.
I drove up Muir St to Richmond rd (traffic lights), turned left onto Richmond, turned right onto Creek rd (traffic lights), drove past Minnippi Blvd (traffic lights), then onto D'Arcy and so on.
When I had parked my car, the clock showed 5:02.
Not only was I treated poorly, that (unfriendly) man and his wife have never been very friendly, he seems to think he has captured the knowledge of the whole universe & everything in it. I have on a few occasions been treated like that.

I used to be one of the "silent customers", the one who didn't call out poor customer service but instead just took their business elsewhere and never went back, but hey, you have re-ignited my fire, and after your disgraceful performance the other day, I am calling you out.

So, let me tell you, whatever your names are (after more than 3 years +, I still don't know), you can stick your shop where the sun don't shine.

I'd be more than happy to travel a little extra to buy from one of your competitors.
I'm done.
