I have a 1998 Specialized Rockhopper from new that I rode in England and in Austria. I bought it over to Australia in 2003 but in our final move from Sydney to Brisbane, it was not properly packed and rusted / oxidised away in a container for a year. A major bicycle brand retailer suggested that I sell the frame on eBay, because there may be someone out there who likes "retro bikes". Another local bicycle shop offered to provide me with their opinion on the bike for $40. Rival Bikes offered however to provide a free inspection and their recommendation on whether the bike was serviceable or not. I was delighted that it was. Less than a week later it was returned to me in pristine condition after a service and the replacement of key running parts, i.e. tubes, cables, etc. The bike holds great memories for me and I’m very happy to be riding it again. It runs perfectly. Thank you Rival Bikes, for your honesty, integrity, service and helpfulness. And Rival Bikes is now my go to bike shop in Brisbane

Friendly, helpful and execution! Dave, Pete and the team help fixed up my old cannondale synapse. Pointed out some flaws and possible improvements without being pushy. I've been cycling for a long time and can do my own mechanics at times, but I'm amazed of what a real mechanic can do to a make to make it run so smooth. I will be coming back to have my bike serviced again. Thanks Gents

The guys at Rival bikes Wynnum are the guys to buy your bikes from this is my second new road bike purchase at this shop, I live on the Gold Coast and buy through this shop because of there friendly staff and great knowledge nothing is too hard and they don't try and push you into buying a bike that is not right for you.

Many thanks for supplying my new Electra Townie 3i EQ. I much prefer this style of bike compared to the mountain bikes ridden by some of my work colleges at Moomba in the middle of the desert but I think after seeing the new one there may be more orders to follow.
