We asked to customize cake for our daughter's birthday and we are so pleased with the cake decoration- it was mario theme. Our daughter was so happy as well. All our guests appreciated the cake and was so yummy.

Today we had a very disappointing experience with the wynnum cheesecake shop. Earlier several times we bought cake from this shop and it was good. So, we went back to this shop this evening again. I told my husband to get the CANDYLAND BIRTHDAY CAKE for my girl's tomorrow birthday which has a purple colour theme. My husband told them to give candyland cake and the staff took the cake inside and after packing inside, she didn’t show the cake to my husband which is usually what they do. So he didn't know the condition of the cake inside.

But when he came back home and realised he forgot to buy the candle, so he just left the cake at home (fridge) without checking the condition and went to the wynnum shop again to get the candle. After he came back home, i checked the cake to match the colour and it was not the same colour as the picture online. it was blue all over the cake and no purple colour at all outside of the cake and the cake was melted only after 30 minutes we purchased it. 😓

My husband went there again and asked to exchange the cake or to fix it with the purple colour as the theme of the party was purple but they didn’t offer any solution and said can’t do anything for the wrong colour and melting in 15 minutes only after he arrived home. And they tried to blame us for not putting the cake in the fridge but in reality we put it in the fridge. In a logical way, The cake should not melt in 1 hour if you just put it in room temperature right? and we put it directly into the fridge within 15 minutes of purchasing it.

My question is how do they give a cake that easily melted? we are planning to take this cake tomorrow at the park to celebrate our daughter's birthday. i can’t imagine if the cake will melt tomorrow after 30 minutes bringing in park. it will ruin our party right?😓

You know that we had previous experience, we purchased from another cheesecake store not only the wynnum one, for our son's birthday party at school. The cake was outside for more than one hour and didn't melt like today in 15 minutes. We bought them all in summer, carrying them to our kids school or our friend house, but never melted once also. But today in 15 minutes their cake melted and they didn't accept that they did something wrong with their quality.

Thanks to this shop who does the business without being professional and doesn’t have any understanding for their fault. This could be their topping that's mixing proportion could be wrong or the quality. They should investigate further but can't tell the customer in one minute that it's our fault. Please don't blame everything on the customer, listen to their issues and try to find from your end if you did something wrong then you can make your decision.

Finally, we left the cake at the shop, without getting an exchange or refund. You guys can enjoy the melted and not good quality cake that we left at your shop.
Good luck to your shop, i hope in the future you will listen to your customer's problems and fix the issues with a more understanding and professional way. Don't put a failed cake or not similar cake as shown in online in your display.

I won’t be ordering from here again. I used to work at the cheesecake shop 25 years ago, it used to be good. Now it’s overpriced mediocre at best cakes. Few weeks ago I ordered a blackforest torte as it used to be my favourite and was so disappointed it just tasted so bland. Then today I got a French Vanilla that literally went in the bin. As soon as I opened the box it smelled so bad like it was off or the wrong products had been used. None of us could eat it. So we placed another order for a strawberry cheesecake which is fine but honestly no different than a $3 frozen cheesecake. The cakes are so mediocre now and cannot believe they are $55 to $70. I’m not exaggerating when I say the $3-$5 cheesecakes and mudcakes at the grocery store taste better

I had a Star Wars themed cake made and it was just fantastic. The staff were just so accommodating. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Disgraceful Customer Service! In reference to the older lady working Friday 29th of November between 12:30-1:30pm

I had an incredibly disappointing experience when picking up my “a little bit fancy” two-tier cake last Friday afternoon. For $80, I expected much better service and quality control. Instead, the cake was handed to me with a flimsy plastic cover, unsecured and without proper packaging. The cake moved around during transport, hitting the sides of the cake and getting ruined before I even got it home.

I immediately called the store to raise my concerns, as this cake was for my daughter’s 18th birthday just a few hours later. Understandably, I was upset and quite angry, but instead of showing any understanding or professionalism, the older staff member I spoke to was rude, dismissive, and hung up on me after sarcastically saying she would fix it. Which understandably made me angrier.

When I arrived at the store, she was unapologetic and sassy and insisted that this was their standard method of packaging, even pointing to a poster showing a properly packaged cake with a ribbon securing the cover, something my cake didn’t have! When I mentioned this, she brushed it off, claiming that not all cakes come with ribbons, which made no sense given their advertisement.

After a frustrating back-and-forth, she finally fixed the cake and added a ribbon, something that should have been done from the start to prevent all of this. Still, no apology was offered for the inconvenience or poor packaging. Her attitude throughout the interaction was rude, sassy, and completely unprofessional.

I’ve been a loyal customer of this shop for years, but this experience has left me unwilling to return. The lack of care, professionalism, and customer service was appalling. It’s clear that new management or staff changes have negatively impacted the quality of this store.

Avoid this shop if you value good customer service and reliable products.

My dissatisfaction is not at the Wynnum store but the franchise. Your Black Friday on line ordering site is extremely poor. You need to have a chat to your web designer as we tried multiple times to order and the feedback from the person that served us after we gave up ordering online advised she had received the same feed back from many many customers. If you advertise 25% off then make sure your website orders work. A very poor web site indeed

SO GOOD! Such a lovely team! Was able to buy the most delicious white mudcake base to decorate myself for my aunts birthday. Staff members were super knowledgable and gave me some great advice on doing this. Ended up being given a discount on account of the delightful experience had.
The team were great with special dietary requirements and were so lovely throughout!!!
Will definitely be coming back for my own birthday 😁🎉
