My wife, baby (3 month old) and I visited here for a look around as it’s attached to Buderim Ginger Factory - though this business is independent of Buderim Ginger. Unknown to us we visited here and I walked in with my hat and sunnies in my hand. Upon entering we were greeted by the sales person. To which we smiled/said hello back. My wife with the baby in the carrier had a browse through the shop for a few mins. Nothing stood out to us so we smiled at the attendant and left the store.

However long story short the attendant must have phones the stores in the immediate area and described us as she thought I had stolen my akubra style hat from her premises.

She then came out of her shop and chased us down in the neighbouring shops. This then made it difficult for us to visit any of the other stores as we were framed and thieves.

Not cool, I would have been happy if you just asked on the deck of your shop rather than get other sales people to find me and my family and chase us down.

Not cool - it made us feel very uncomfortable when we were there to have a good time.

I hope that you can rethink how you enforce your loss prevention and maybe install some CCTV.
