Fresh seafoods & chickens.
They clean the fishes and cut in smaller pieces (and kept the head part for us). You can ask for some ice to keep your fish fresh.

Same thing with the chicken, they cut your chosen whole chicken to smaller portions.

Prices, qualities & varieties are excellent.

Friendly & efficient service.

It used to be a good place, but not anymore. Terrible customer care. An extremely rude lady there. Bought fish, asked to get rid of head, tail, all fins and cut into cutlets. But they did not clean at all. Even fins are present. Not again. Couple of years ago it was a nice place, but now......... I'm not going there again.

I always try and support Effie's small business as it is friendly and fantastic customer service. You can ask them to do anything with seafood or chicken, and they cater to various cultures in regards and how they cook certain meals. For example a chicken cut up a certain way to make a curry.
Their seafood is always fresh, always Western Australian product. Their chicken burgers, schnitzels and various marinated chicken products are delicious. I'm a regular here and they are worthy of full 5 star reviews. Great job guys, thank you

Probably not best to visit around closing time. Got the spotted cod, asked for scale and filleting. I was charged extra $2 per kg due to it being a 'small fish'. No problem, as long as I get the head and the bones afterwards, I said. When I got home and opened the package, no bones and no head was given. So all in all I paid nearly $60 a kilo for fillet meat which is not what I asked for cause I needed the head and the bones for dish. If they weren't as rushed around closing time I don't think I would have got ripped off.

Edit: I have been back and Effie resolved this issue magnificently. I've also returned a few times since and happy to report of the high quality service and products that I received. I was concerned that standards have dropped but thankfully this isn't the case!

The girls here are so friendly and helpful - they even remember to ask me if I need to buy bones for my dog. I don't shop anywhere else for chicken, it's always so fresh. Oh, and cheap as well!
