I complained to Mount Barker years ago about the shocking quality of the peri peri strips. Stupidly I tried them again today. Nothing has changed. Quality is appalling. Not even cut into strips just big chunks of chicken with lots of skin and sinew attached!

Okay, been a fan of Mt Barker chicken for years and love your free range philosophy. Noticing of late the quality is dropping, see photo. This is sold as smokey bbq chicken winglets but it's mostly just the boney wings minus the meaty drumsticks. It used to be the other way round. There's nothing on these wing flaps and you need to know it's not good enough. An even mix is better. I'll give them one more go and then no more... Guys, you have a brilliant product, keep your eyes On the quality going out there...

Look for the photos of my chicken with its entrails still in. You guys need to lift your game. Cutting out the poop shoot is one thing but finding the guts in the chicken is just lack of product control. Get your shit together. Will not be buying Mount Barker chicken from now on .. you've gone from a great product to GROSS

Extremely disappointed to see that people have made Facebook pages online stating how and why they preferMT Barker and other chicken suppliers, only because they are non halal.
Halal food means following specific methods that ensure the animal is treated humanely, including a swift and respectful slaughter while invoking a blessing. If you do your research, you will see the non halal food has harmful effects on your health and body. That’s how precious the teachings of Islam are!

Emailed Mt Barker regarding quality of 'Peri- Peri Wings' back in December. (I believe the pictures say it all!) There wasn't a single wing, just a lot of scrap.
I received an email response with a promise to post a voucher/refund for the substandard product. Here we are 4 months later and nothing. It appears the customer service is as poor as the product.

Chicken sausages. These are the best genuine chicken sausages. The flavour is great, nothing over powering, not greasy, oily or salty, well balanced and tasty. High protien, i can eat 1 every evening to balance my sugars overnight, nothing is better than that 🙂 (2diabetes2).
Highly recommend these sausages.

Sadly your ready cook chicken packs are disgusting. The flavours of the marinades can be quite nice but the chicken does not taste real. Is it manufactured and glued together chicken meat? Have tried several different packs and always the same. Not good enough. Will not buy again

Bought some chicken tenderloins from the local IGA. Thought I would support the WA producer. When it went into the pan to fry, there was so much water, the chicken was broiling instead of frying. Collected over 100mls (100gms) of water. At $25 per kilo for free range chicken that's over $2.50 worth of water that was "Plumped " into the chicken by Mt Barker Free Range. That's disgraceful and illegal, and its nothing to do with keeping the moisture in. Its gouging.
Wont be buying any more chicken from Mt Barker Free Range.
