I had to bite my tongue after going in to get stuff for the boat for my partner. I agree with others here that the customer service is awful. Old boys club with old guys working there that barely have any joy for life let alone the job.
The young kids working there do their best in those conditions.
Just old, boaty arrogance.
They only survive as a business because they carry items I can't get elsewhere.

Purchased some wet weather gear at the Mosman Park shop but immediately after purchase I noted that the price shown on the item - $39.95 differed from the price shown on the sale docket - $49.95. I returned to the shop & challenged the apparent discrepancy. The response was that $49.95 was the price & the discrepancy resulted from the shop not updating the price tag. It was obvious that Whitworths would not take responsibility for the error. Very poor customer relations and in my opinion sneaky and unprofessional marketing. Before purchasing anything from this retailer ensure that you are fully aware of the actual price to be charged.
