Very nice place to have coffee and desert. Foods are goods and price is decent. One humble comment to the pie bakery’s shop. The beef pie tastes very unique but main thing is the pie is way too starchy. Chilli pie was ok tho. Foods from other stores are great! Will be back to try out the pizza and rolls.

Invited family members to lunch----20 of us.Ordered salads,cold meat and cheese platters plus meatballs and chicken. The food was lovely and fresh and enjoyed by all. The order was spot on, so a big thank you to Doris and the crew.

I was surprised entering this place for the first time to find it buzzing with people. The 5 stars are for the best vegetarian pizza I've had in a long time. Definitely going out of my way to visit again.

Just had eggs Benedict for breakfast, (12th March 2025) and it was very underwhelming. I've not had breakfast there before and I won't be going there again. I think someone needs to go and see what eggs Benedict is like in most other cafes, if not all. The toast was boring, tasteless, sugar filled white bread with no butter, which I've not seen before, the eggs were under cooked, the spinach wasn't the usual baby spinach, but rather is was the old school bitter tasting spinach which I've also not seen for many, many years. The bacon was ok, but not much of it for the price.

The only thing that tasted good was the hollandaise sauce, which I bought there today as it's the best I've ever tasted and I couldn't find it anywhere else. Gold Gourmet Foods, Australian made.

C'mon Charlies, lift your game and get to the standard of everyone else.

Charlie's is an institution in these parts, great continental store & cafe with an awesome butcher, fruit shop and pizzeria/dessert store attached. A great range of products available. Best in the eastern suburbs & rivals the bigger mob in town. Definitely worth the visit.

The cold meats counter is possibly the best in Perth. Re store is great. Charlie's is perhaps even better. Best to take a ticket as soon as you get in as there will be a wait during busy times.
