OK, so these guys were called out because our aircon stopped working. They had advised they will send someone out to have a "look" the next day. They sent two guys (one, who was an apprentice) went in the roof space and advised it can be repaired but it's probably best to put a new system in. When I presented the quote to the landlord the landlord advised he has his own aircon contractor who he wanted to use to have a look.

When he decided to use him instead of MPS, MPS decided to then send a bill for the call out. This wasn't at all discussed or advised before they came out. The bill was in access of $1000 for the call out.

Obviously this was refused to be paid for by the landlord as they hadn't sorted out the issue and we weren't advised of a call out charge.

MPS then said they agreed the price is too high after discussing with other companies - basically they made the amount up.

They reduced it to $577 which again we still disputed as they were claiming for us to pay for the apprentice too. When we tried to negotiate this apprentice charge they became aggressive and said they would pass our details to debt collectors and will be liable for the full amount (over $1000)

I obviously paid the bill reluctantly but I'm not happy with the dishonesty and rude manner at which they dealt with this. I would never ever recommend them for any services
