We've just returned from a road trip, and using the portable stov barbecue was undoubtedly a standout experience of our holiday! Its flat-pack design was a lifesaver, fitting perfectly into our jam-packed car alongside our camping, hiking, and surfing gear. We whipped up some amazing meals on it, from eggs and broccolini to tasty burgers, lamb chops, sausages and chicken. Its lightweight design enabled us to take it anywhere, even to spots where carrying a regular barbecue would have been a hassle… And setting it up, breaking it down, cooking, and cleaning? Easy peasy!

A great BBQ. Simple and quick to assemble and use ( I have done it in the dark!). It’s light and easy to carry in the supplied bag. I have used the grill, a frying pan and a silicon sheet in successfully cooking a variety of meals. I really like the quality of materials used in its construction and it makes it easier to clean. Thats important as we use it a lot in traveling across the outback. STOV were friendly and helpful when I had a question about its operation.

What an excellent BBQ! Perfect for my VW camper van because it packs flat and doesn't take up much space.
Just takes a few minutes to assemble, and then you can be cooking away to your heart's content! Because it's small and light and uses camping gas canisters, you can easily carry it to the best scenic spot for your picnic.
I had a bit of an accident and my Stov got knocked off a camping table, breaking the gas hose - my fault entirely, the part was not defective - I reached out to Freddy, and he sent me a replacement hose free of charge. So I sent him some Padrone peppers to grill and serve sprinkled with pecorino. Happiness all round!

I love this bbq! I was looking for a stove or something to cook on during family camping trips and stumbled across the Stov bbq at the Manly markets. It takes up next to no room in the car (flat packing is the answer!) and it cooks really well - hashbrowns, meat, veggies and toasties are now super easy. It's become my camping group's go-to cooking facility.

I started to get serious about having a bbq at the beach this season. I started with a portable Bunnings-type portable gas bbq (the type that comes in the black carry case), but it was seriously under-powered and took 30 mins to cook onions and a few snags (Clearly showing I wasn't really serious at all...). It was heavily affected by the smallest breeze even though we erected a pretty decent wind-barrier around the cooking area.

That same day I went looking online for a better option. I stumbled across the STOV pretty quickly and liked the flat-pack style for easy carriage, and the reviews were very positive.

Although somewhat pricey, I did also buy the wind-guard. I tried it out at home at first, and whilst it was a little difficult to put together due at first to the tight tolerances in the interfacing parts, it does get easier after a few attempts. I was mega-impressed with the sheer power this unit projects, and I had the splash guard that goes over the burner red piping-hot within a few minutes. I put a pretty heavy frypan on the grill with some oil and was able to cook onions to a caramelised state within 5-7 mins. The sausages were also cooked perfectly with the tell-tale signs of a good heat throughout!

The next test was at the beach in the environment that I bought it for. Happy to say it was quite a breezy day and the at-home performance of the STOV was replicated beautifully at the beach.

It's a fantastic unit, very portable, able to be washed in the dishwasher (apart from the grill due to the wooden handle), and I love it! Very sound purchase and it oozes quality from the 'look and feel', design, the materials, and superior functionality. This is a lifetime investment and worth every cent!

I love this bbq so much! I've owned my share of portable bbqs and none have been as easy as the Stov to cook on the go. It packs up so well and is very easy to clean. I can't recommend it enough!

If you ever want to have the real BBQ feeling when you're off road camping and hiking, this is it. Found this portable stove at the manly markets and it is just perfect for our camping trips. It was really easy to set up and took a few minutes till we were ready to eat our steak. Great quality, thanks!

This little bbq is so much fun and works perfectly - we take it everywhere! Its easy to set up and super light so we have no problem taking it over cliffs at the beach or paddle boarding to find cool locations we would normally never be able to barbeque at.
People are always coming up asking where we got it. We love our little STOV!
