Today we popped in at the Distillery for a Gin & Vodka tasting. Very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff member who helped us choose from the massive variety of stock on their shelves. The " Pavlova Vodka" is to die for, yummy

We've driven past this place so many times and finally had some free time to check it out.
We were greeted by two ladies who showed us into an air conditioned room for a tasting.
Our host Kay was amazing!!! Her/Their knowledge on the history of Old Young's and all the vodka and gins was astounding. Loved every minute of the tasting experience. Definitely one of the best experiences.

Gorgeous spot, have been here several times now and they never disappoint! I love the outdoor seating with all the lush hanging plants and little posies on the tables picked from their garden.
The food is fabulous, a beautiful showcase of local ingredients, every plate is well thought out and constructed with care. We especially loved the skirt steak and the croquettes! If you really want to treat yourself, make sure you save room for dessert....
The cocktails are also divine, our favourite was the plumed up, it was the perfect balance of fruity and sour 👌
Of course, your visit isn't complete without taking some goodies home! The spirit tasting is well worth doing, it's super fun and informative.
Love your work guys, hands down my favourite spot in the valley!

Had an amazing lunch today. The sourdough was so light, the crust perfect. All the meals that followed were fantastic.

Finished the visit off with a gin and vodka tasting with CJ. She is an asset to the business. It was an enjoyable tour and we look forward to enjoying the Pavlova Vodka back home in QLD.

LOVE the gin/vodka tasting experience. We absolutely loved the character of the hosts and the knowledge of the establishment-very entertaining! And as always, we can't pass on the Pavlova vodka.
We went and had lunch prior to the tasting, all of the flavors of the dishes were phenomenal. We had the sourdough, croquettes, emu pastrami, udon noodles, fries and the snapper between us. Unfortunately, the snapper was a substantially smaller size than we expected hence only 4 stars overall;it was a very small fish compared to any other snapper dishes we've had before.
All staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and the environment was cozy and welcoming.

I organised a tasting at Old Young’s as a precursor to a Christmas work function. What a great way to break the ice. Cath our host was very informative and entertaining. Oh yes the Gins and Vodkas also very delicious Cheers I would highly recommend and will definitely do again. Thanking you

Not recommended for large groups.

Beautiful setting and lovely staff. Sadly the team were not organised. We were a 14:00 booking, seated 15-20 mins late. Drinks and bread arrived at 1500. During starters, at approx 15:15, we were told that we had to vacate at 16:15; they needed our chairs and their licence wouldn’t accommodate us and the wedding that was arriving at 16:30. Inevitably an hour was impossible to eat 3 courses and the wedding party looked rather confused and disappointed to see us all there finishing our lunch and queuing to pay at approximately 5pm. It was embarrassing.

Management should not have accepted a large booking just before a wedding.
Alternatively, they could have hired more staff, hired chairs, sat us and served us in a timely manner and informed the organising party of their time constraint at the time of booking (not a day before when it’s too late to change venue).

Some dishes were superb, others underwhelming. It was an expensive ($120) lunch where the experience didn’t match the price.

Unfortunately the poor management detracted from the day and really upset some customers.

We decided to take our Dutch family for a treat and a Birthday Celebration. We ordered the chef special per person and I have to say the food was fantastic. Between the 5 of us there was definitely enough for everyone and it was so beautifully balanced. Each dish, be it Tartar, fish, emu or kangaroo was just exquisitely prepared. We also had gin cocktails to accompany some dishes.
We were all blown away, the staff was young and very competent. They knew their cuisine, were well educated on what was on the plate and recommended paired drinks to complement. It will definitely be one for the travellers to remember and reminisce for years to come. I Highly recommend this place for a special experience.
