Had fish and chips from here on Christmas Eve and the whole experience lifted our festive spirits. The staff were really friendly and hardworking, and the waiting area in the shop was pleasant (+ had great decorations). After a short wait we received our fish and chips which were fresh, delicious, and great value. We will definitely be back!

We were visiting Albany during the New Year all the way from Canada and were pleased to find this little gem of a fish and chips.
It was refreshing to find an enjoyable meal at a reasonable price in today's economic climate which doesn't lend itself toward eating out.
Prices super reasonable and both fish and chip portions were huge. They are off the main area but worth the walk or drive to find so you aren't paying the touristy prices.
Everything took a few minutes only because everything is freshly fried not reheated or refried.
The place isn't glamorous but the food is excellent for fish and chip offerings. Super crispy and salty batter.
Please note there is no seating to eat here just waiting seats for takeout. As visitors this was our only gripe as we hiked here from the beach.
Definitely recommend giving them a try. Would be a repeat customer if I was ever in the area.

I came here today while I’m on holiday at the moment. I can see why this fish and chip shop has a 4.4 star average here on Google. The staff were really friendly when they served me and provided great customer service. I ordered the fisherman’s basket for 1 and $15 worth of chips with some drinks. Everything we ordered was amazing the chips were well seasoned and the seafood was perfectly cooked. This place is definitely the best fish and chips shop in Albany. Safe to say I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m down here next.

I have been coming here for years. They never disappoint. Highly recommend this shop to all the Kiwis, oh and everybody else 😂😂

I get the battered shark, crab sticks and a serve of chips underdone with salt and lemon. Partner gets dim sims, fantail prawns and sometimes squid rings. All cooked the way we love them.

A team of young fellows, doing a great job. Bought the Fisherman's Basket - $19.50. While I was waiting for my order, I worked out that it was cheaper to order the things in the pack, individually. That's poor form, to overcharge, by making it a pack. Asked for chicken salt, but got plain salt. Quality was OK, but not great.

My mother went to Jings today and was overwhelmed with everything. The service was exceptional as was the excellent food. Thank you Jings for her lovely experience with her two dear friends today and she is looking forward to coming back. I write this on her behalf as she is 87 and visually impaired.
