Let me begin by saying that if I could give less than 1 star I would. Byfields did my tax return for the first time this year. Alarm bells started to ring at my sit down meeting to do the return. First the consultant asked for more money than I was quoted in my original phone call to organise the meeting. I had to correct him and he left the room to check out the figure only to find that I was correct. The next alarm bell was how laid back and nonchalant he was about my return. Left me with no confidence about its accuracy. I was then told that it would be lodged after I paid the fee and that my return would be in my bank account within 4 to 5 days. After a couple of persistent reminders I paid the bill on the 2nd September 2022 and was again told that it would be lodged on that same day and that my return would be in my bank within 4 to 5 days. As I still hadn’t received my return a month later I rang Byfields on the 3rd October 2022 to find out what the problem and was not able to get a satisfactory answer. Unsurprisingly, a very sheepish constant rang me back on the 4th October 2022 to tell me that I would get my return within 7 to 10 days. After pressing harder he finally admitted that he has forgotten about my return and that it had actually been lodged on the morning that he called.

Vey unprofessional and this company calls itself “Business Advisors”. What advice can you actually give on Business when your own is run this unprofessional.

Partner used them for tax return,very disappointing not return wise fact payment given to byfields then still chasing it a month later still wasn't sent to ATO from byfields only sent morning after he complained ,a month after payment .I'd happily give Byfields business advisors a suggestion get your own business practices in order before offering to to so for others....I personally would go elsewhere from our experience not a good impression let alone first impression .
