Decent gauge Australian steel (Corten steel equivalent) expected to last at least 40 years. Saw the planter on fb marketplace and made enquiries at Subiaco Homebase agent who suggested I drive down to visit the manufacturer because I had a specific envelope (1300x900). Discussed and paid on a Tuesday. Delivered 10 days later on a Friday. The photos are taken the following Tuesday i.e. two weeks from ordering to veges in the ground. Bent, drilled, joined, and screwed the edging myself. Found a use for the off-cut. Installed retic piping in the planter before adding soil. Researched layering soil in the planter - calculated volume at 600 litres. 3 x 20kg bags of 14 mm gravel in the base of the circle (not in the half moons because too shallow to warrant). Reused sand (dug out to create level bed) mixed with soil improver to about a third of the depth of each section. Chicken and cow manure mixed in over that. 5x50 litre bags of good quality potting mix over that. Sheep manure used as a mulch. Different companion plantings in each of the three separate sections. Woopeedoo!!!
