Guiseppe and Rose have made wonderful special pieces for me since 2000. Including a special diamond belly ring, diamond toe ring, a treble clef note with diamond necklace and adding a diamond to a Khartoush.
4 diamond rings have followed suit and all are perfect because they care about the outcome.
They offer regular checks so the claws aren't damaged and nothing is too out there for them to make.
Friendly fun fast and affordable. I have recommended you two to many.
Love the latest ring we picked up Saturday.

Unfortunately even though Peppermint Grove Jewellers create bespoke rings according to their website which involves sourcing stones, they are seemingly unable or unwilling to check and value a ring.

I have an engagement ring which has been in my family for 130 years and is a 3.5 carat diamond set in platinum. It has been into their store for re-setting and changing the size of the ring.

When I asked if they could check and value it after it had been out of my possession for some time, I received the following response:

"I think we did do something of the sort, like sizing the ring. I'm sorry but I do not think I'm the person for this job. You would be best to take to an Antique dealer to have it checked."

I would say two things by way of response:

i) Peppermint Grove Jewellers regularly buys and sells diamonds of all sizes and values. If it cannot place a value on a diamond, how as a matter of logic can it be relied upon to buy and sell them?

ii) I do not know of any antique dealers who regularly buy and sell diamonds of that size. Not even in Peppermint Grove.

I was very disappointed considering they had worked on the ring in the past and clearly hold themselves out to be experts in the business with otherwise such good reviews online.

In light of the reply to this review that I have just seen, I am more than happy for Peppermint Grove Jewellers to reveal whatever it wishes to reveal as to why it cannot value jewellery.

I would be even happier to receive a response as to how an organisation which is in the business of effectively selling precious metals and gems is seemingly incapable of valuing the very products which it purports to sell.

That one remains a mystery.

I had a great experience with Giuseppe at PGJ.
He helped me design the exact ring I wanted, sourced all the stones so I could choose the perfect pieces and was very kind when I changed my mind half way through. I was really happy with what I ended up with.

Rose, Giuseppe and the team are the best in the business. I live in Canberra and heard about them from a family friend and they didn't disappoint. I have Just had two rings resized and I am extremely happy with the results.
The service and the customer care was excellent, I was told a price which was correct and a very reasonable amount and a time estimate which was earlier than expected.
