Lovely walk and animals were out (except for the birds). Nice big carpet python basking at the car park was a great view for the kids too.

Road to the picnic area / waterfalls can be a bit sketchy and thin. Walk to the waterfalls is great. Need to cross 5-6 streams to get to it. No where really to swim but it’s worth the walk.

Road to the picnic area says closed with plans to reopen by June 2022 (time of visit was November 2022). You can still drive safely up and there’s room for a couple cars at the top (they’ve closed the main car park due to some overflow of water in the road just before it).

We did the walk to the falls (also marked as closed) with no difficulty. A few creek crossings to navigate over the stepping stones though!

Beautiful forest, but the access road is closed, extra 800m walk to the picnic area. The Falls walk is accessible until about 300m from the Falls where the track is completely blocked with fallen down trees. Few very low creek crossings. Lots to look at.

Beautiful setting in with endangered rainforest surrounds. We went there not to picnic but to see Woolgoolga Creek waterfall. The walk was a straight forward 1.7km walk to the waterfall with a few streams to cross though care needed to avoid sneakers getting wet.

Very nice picnic area next to the creek...great space to kick a ball....nice walk to the waterfall which is beautiful. Bring plenty of moskitos repellent or you will be eaten alive. Must see if you are in the area...I highly recommend the walk, easy enough for anyone and only 1.4km to the wsterfall
