Good steel and good price, long wait to pickup, but staff are helpful and friendly, they have everything from reo to i beams, and bolts and brackets. Bring a packed lunch or order an hour before pick up as they are always busy. The factory is impressive it has everything. The overhead 40t rolling crane is impressive to watch, along with the fork lift driver with the Bunnings hat, they way he moves an 8m length of steal balanced on the end of the fork of the fork lift thew a 5m wide factory door is very skilfully and impressive. You can back your truck or car into the factory and have the crane pop it ontop of your Ute,van, truck. Cutting is also available, it like $3 a cut. Steel is not cheap these days, and this place is reasonable in price. Don't forget they sell boards and concrete retaining walls too

Perfect supplier of steel for any project size!
I've purchased steel there maybe 6 or 7 times, two times with delivery. No problems at all. Steel quality is pretty good, galvanised fence posts - 2.5 years - not a sign of rust.

If you have any small project to build a shelf or a frame for gardening then you should see Vincent Zou. He can give a valuable advise and a perfect measurement for joining those pipes together with those joinners. Thanks Vincent.

Decent price and quality, but it's the service from these guys that sets them apart. I emailed my order with a cut list on Saturday morning, then called to see when they could deliver. To my amazement, the guy held his delivery truck back and delivered my small job the same day. The cuts were accurate, the steel is clean. I am really happy to recommend New Steel.

Rule #1. Bring your tape measure and double check all cuts. Don't assume they will provide accurate cuts.

I've only used New Steel twice and for small sub<$500 jobs, so admit my experience may not be the same for people with bigger orders, but both jobs gave cause for concern. The first job was for a dozen clamp fittings and two lengths of gal pipe in specific cut sizes which I'd sent through via and prepaid before pickup. Despite this, they were not ready on pickup and I had to wait nearly an hour for the pipe to be cut and added to the clamps which had been pre-prepared and were waiting. I'm not sure if they were rushing as a result, but both lengths (which were to be cut in the same three sizes) had one piece 50mm too short and one which was 50mm too long - meaning four of six pieces were not to order. With a few adjustments to my planned build, I was able to make it work so didn't lose too much sleep. Six months later and I was extending the equipment, so ordered via email once more. After three unanswered emails, they did eventually respond and asked me just to come in store and order/pay this time. Which I did, and inside forty five minutes they took payment and provided the lengths of pipe and additional clamps I required. Admittedly I did not double check their measurements, and instead just dropped off the parts to a powder coater. After retrieving from the powder coater just over a week later, I discovered that once more, one length was 120mm too long and another 120mm too short. The short piece made it impossible to complete my project. Despite having a printed invoice with the ordered dimensions, since fifteen days had passed between when I'd received my order (the vast majority of which I had left the pipe with the powder-coaters) they were less than helpful and would not provide the missing length, insisting it was my fault for not checking their measurements at the time (which I admit is true) and for not reporting within 1 or 2 days (which may also be true - but still leaves an awful taste when I'd wasted hours because of their mistake and was only seeking less than $10 worth of gal pipe to finish my project, which I even offered to pay for - but they would not provide). On the positive side, their pricing is competitive with other players in this space, so no complaints there. Likewise, they may be more responsive and accurate with bigger orders. But if you're a smaller order, it appears that their care factor is not great. So if accuracy and customer service are priorities, a google search for tube clamp or galvanised pipe will yield plenty of more reliable alternatives. Having cost me time and money, in concert with mistakes on both jobs and sub-par service, I've now had to seek replacement parts elsewhere. Can't recommend.

I have used them twice and and their service and product is excellent.
They have a wide range of in stock hot galvanized steel at super cheap prices. Better range and price than the "big" suppliers.

They have all sizes pipes and other metal products. One of the bigges steel factory i've ever seen. They also huge stocks and you can pick what ever you need. Frank is a smart man who can do real calculating. His math is strong and that could help reduce your risks. They are honest and do good job on the time. I am very satisfied, 10 stars.
