As the owner of a very old HP notebook, upgraded a couple of times to Windows 10, then to Linux due to ongoing issues with windows. My next issue was the screen on the notebook turning black! the notebook was still functioning. I had a second issue of the external hard drive I had used to back up everything before Linux was installed had suddenly failed. After finding Perth Computer Help on line I contacted Layne and arranged a drop off both my notebook and the hard drive.
Layne was extremely helpful looking firstly at the hard drive and after a quick listen to the noise it was making determined it was beyond his expertise and recommended another company whom I have contacted and now working with.
Layne plugged in my notebook and agreed the screen was faulty and due to the age of the machine it was not worth repairing. I did have some data on this notebook I wanted to retrieve and Layne advised he could get it off and would contact me when it was completed.
Layne call the next day to say the retrieval job was complete and gave me the cost, I was very happy with the outcome and the cost. Layne was fast, honest and gave me some good advise on external hard drives and backups. His knowledge is amazing and explained everything to me without using confusing 'geek speak'. Thank you Layne I will definitely be recommending you to others and I will be using you again.

Layne was incredibly fast at fixing my laptop when the battery stopped charging. It was significantly cheaper than expected and he was incredibly fast when contacted. I highly recommend him for any and all computer repairs.
