this place is a little gem - i think i probably just had the best pistachio croissant of my life. we're too full to try the banoffee (the pistachio croissant was massive) but looking forward to trying it tomorrow. can't wait to come back here later in the year!

Claudio Bakehouse is a bustling café, especially during peak tourist season. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, which adds to the lively atmosphere, but be prepared for it to be quite busy.

The pastries are undeniably beautiful—stunningly crafted and visually appealing. However, I found the quality didn’t quite live up to the presentation. The texture was a bit chewy, and some items were overly sweet for my taste. That said, the savoury options looked much more promising, with a great selection of sandwiches and pastries that seemed fresh and hearty.

The coffee was fine—standard and serviceable but nothing particularly memorable.

There are toilets onsite, though they were locked during my visit. Without clear instructions on how to access them, I decided against asking the very busy staff for assistance.

Overall, while Claudio Bakehouse has its charms and undeniable popularity, I’m not sure it’s worth the hype or the wait. It’s a pleasant spot to visit if you’re curious, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Huge variety of pastry, something for everyone. All the pastry tastes good and warm. If anyone in the area, I highly recommend to try this bakery.

OMG!!!! Amazing!!!!

We discovered Claudio’s while on holidays. We loved it so much that we decided it was our place to go while we were here.

Unfortunately we were only able to go on the Sunday because they are closed Monday to Wednesday! That’s the only negative.

Almond croissant and pistacchio croissant were both very nice. Well filled, good flavour. A bit sweet, but otherwise really good.
Update: another visit was not very exciting. Chocolate did not have much flavour, Margherita pizza was not great either. Cappuccino croissant was okay, bit dry. Did not feel like I would go back. Service is good considering the number of customers.
