I was shocked and saddened to find that a raspberry on top was clearly moldy. It was visibly fuzzy and not something anyone could mistake for powdered sugar. When I pointed it out, the staff insisted it was just sugar and offered no apology or replacement. The woman also mentioned that since I ordered through the app, it was made “a few days ago,” which made me even more concerned. I never expected to be sold something inedible. Very disappointing experience.

Incredible birthday cake. Did not disappoint. All of the guests loved the continental vanilla custard and chocolate mousse cake.

Guests asked where the cake was from. That is the greatest gift of appreciation for hospitality!

Ordered a 2nd Birthday cake for my daughter, the nice and friendly staff took all the information about the cake, giving precious suggestions too.
Cake made by Daniele Barresi, excellent and very tasty cake, also amazing Unicorn themed cake, as I’ve asked for. The guests appreciated the cake very much and everyone was asking me about it.

My house owner left this cake in the fridge. I think originally was a semifreddo cheesecake with blueberries. There are instructions on the box and he clearly didn’t follow them, so the cake was too soft. But besides that, the taste was not great.

Stepping into Tamborrino feels like stepping back home to Italy. The quality, the flavours, the atmosphere — everything is so genuinely Italian. Watching the display full of pastries and traditional biscuits and people chatting over coffee instantly brought back memories of mornings in my hometown. A beautiful slice of Italy in Sydney — bravi!

After so many years living off the cakes from Tamborino, I cannot purchase another one. I purchased a ricotta cake for my husband's birthday and it was terrible. They have definitely changed hands. I will not be returning.

My Italian friend said this place shats all over papa. The nutino cinnamon ricotta cake was pretty good. I feel like the nutino topping was too hard and so was the base. It was bery hard to cut into it. The filling was soft and moist though. Just perfect. Sugar level was on the high side. Very cinnamony which may be liked or hated.

Dear Management,

I want to let you know that I am very disgusted with Tamborrino's hidden surcharges. My husband was charged $66.20 for a takeaway ricotta cake today, which is more than a 12 percent surcharge! Which is an additional $7.20
You are absolute thieves and should be ashamed of yourselves.

As a loyal customer who purchases cakes from your store regularly, I am extremely disappointed to discover that a surcharge is added to takeaway items without letting the customer know.

Your prices in the window do not reflect the surcharges; this is only seen once the transaction has been made.
You have chosen to open your store for takeaway today, a public holiday when most stores are closed. It is Good Friday, a sad day in the Christian community.

Shame on you for your surcharges!
