Wow, who woulda thought a tiny little diner will serve us such a fabulous lunch! We were making our way to Oberon when we stopped off at Lawson. Beautiful little town with gorgeous fall leafs, hidden is a spectacular cafe - Ben’s Cafe. We shared fish and chips and a beef pie. The beef pie was meaty and you can taste the gorgeous wine sauce. Fish and chips crisp to perfection and very generous portion, 3 fillets to be exact. Will definitely visit again when we’re around town. P.S service is also 10/10.

Being fairly local we know that their scones with home-made jam and fresh cream are to die for. Their home-made pies were sold out so we went for the bacon and egg "sanga". Would also recommend their scrambled eggs. Never had a bad meal at this place.

What a fantastic cafe. It was super busy on this Tuesday. The coffee was superb, the food was delicious and fresh and the servings very large. Good value for money. Will definitely revisit.

A hidden gem with delicious food, fast & friendly service. Groups often here for meetings etc. Added bonus that it’s a social enterprise doing good work. Cannot recommend highly enough!

A community cafe with great customer service. The food is decently priced but can take a while to come out, so try elsewhere if you’re in a rush. This is definitely the best cafe in Lawson though, I must say.

The sourdough and ricotta and yummy. Nothing special but a good staple.

The smoked trout and hash brown was delicious. The basil sauce and egg on the top really added to the flavour.

The steak sandwich was a bit hard to eat. I wouldn’t get that again as the steak was tough to chew. Flavour wise, it was good.

The pasta had a good flavour and I really liked the olives that were tossed in. It was pretty filling so I would recommend sharing this with someone if you’re a small eater.

The iced chocolate was very sweet but a nice treat. There was a scoop of ice cream and a generous amount of whipping cream.

The cappuccino was regular but I am not a coffee connoisseur so I wouldn’t be able to give you a good review.

The chai latte was very disappointing. The milk overpowered the chai, I tasted milk all the way with occasional hints of cinnamon.

Overall, I would return to try the extensive food options as well as support the community cafe.

It was good, drinks came out quickly. Food was great. My burger bun was a little on the crispy side. Husband had the Middle eastern and his sourdough was soggy but other than that it was a great experience. Milkshake was great (perfect sweetness) and the orange Passionfruit mineral water is beautiful!

I had the deluxe egg and bacon roll here, best egg and bacon roll I've ever had. Delicious! Iced coffees are amazing too. Very inviting and excellent customer service. My partner and I loved it. We will be back!

Had brunch here today. Great experience. Staff were super nice, efficient and the food delicious with very generous servings. Their support for young people who are disabled is to be commended. Great idea.
