Probably my favourite brewery of the whole area. The beer I had was great. The music was great. The crowd was great. As it was Saturday evening, it was very busy with a full of people but all staff were very nice.

Had a great time at Mixtape Brewing & Bar necking their ‘Mangose’ Mango Sour Mango Gose ($6.50/middy) for the launch of the Inner West Ale Trail. Being greeted with a Willie the Boatman Albo pale ale proved a portent sign for what was to unfold. Not only did I get to get on the beers with our Prime Minister Anthony Albanese (who is also the local member) I got to sample craft beers from a range of different local brewers. Some like Wayward Brewing Company and Batch Brewing Company were very familiar—Pash the Magic Dragon remains a firm favourite—while others like Pickled Monkey Brewing were new to me.

Using NSW Government monies from the “Night Mayor” (24-hour Economy Commissioner) Michael Rodrigues, this bunch of local craft beer venues are getting educated and resourced to work with live musicians to expand and improve their (already great) offerings across the Inner West Council area. Hopefully it will give even more people a reason to ask stop and ask why would you drink a mainstream beer when you can support a small, local business?

lots beer variety on tap (middies $6.50, schooners $9), but also a big list of Aus wines, spirits (gin, lots whiskeys) - something to suit everyone! Small kitchen serving good-with-alcohol food (tacos, pizzas, wings, fries etc). Lovely spacious fit out in an open brick warehouse with an eye catching mural out front. Lovely space to hang and catchup. Dog friendly all areas is a big plus!

2022: Visited on a quiet Thursday evening. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Talked us through the non-alcoholic sodas available. Food was five stars - we enjoyed a pizza and buffalo wings. Will definitely be back!

Oct 2024 update: great little venue. Still worthy of 5 stars. Friendly staff and great beers. Dog-friendly and even our toddler had fun (though I wouldn’t say it’s toddler friendly for more than a beer or two. No designated kids play area. Fair enough given it’s a small place though)

Have never had a bad time here. Staff are unreal at making us feel welcome, and we are thrilled that their beer offerings are expanding. If you want the proper welcome that the inner west ale trail can offer, this is the spot.

This place is amazing and has such a great vibe. A huge variety of drinks and food, not to mention the staff are so nice. It's perfect for afternoon drinks with large groups or families. The colours, plants, music and open space is so nice and makes this different to other breweries. Will definitely be making this my local!! Love it!! Well done Mixtape.❤️
