My brother bought me a new clothesline for Christmas as my old Hills Hoist gave up the ghost after 50 years. Even though it was purchased from another supplier, who only install if you buy one off them, Lifestyle Clotheslines happily offered their services to install. Now, that is how you do business. Genuine customer service with all the good manners to boot. Very happy with my new installed clothesline. Matt did a quick, no nonsense install. Great result. Thank you.

Looks ok but 10 weeks to ship what is a basic kit with 5 standard components is underwhelming. "Units are handmade the old fashioned way" keeps justifying the email from customer service - one has to wonder if it wasn't delayed on a cargo ship instead. One of the struts was assembled on the wrong side - puzzling given the simplicity of the design, took 15mn to fix

BUYER BEWARE. 5 weeks after ordering I am still waiting for my clotheline, despite website saying 5-9 business days. Can only get automated replies from the company’s chatbots saying my matter will be escalated, which is then ignored. I have sent multiple requests for an update on time frames or a refund if they cannot supply the product. I am now lodging a complaint with NSW fair trading.

'Good-bye' to our 5m dia. Hills Hoist, installed in February 1958 by the original owners, who also built our house. Lots of fun was had by our children swinging on the hoist which, eventually, started to lean, gears broken and not winding anymore, and the gardener mowing the lawn, hitting his head a few times.

'Hello' to a nice Austral Hoist! The children now hang the washing and won't swing on the hoist anymore.

I am so disappointed in the obfuscation from Lifestyle Clotheslines. I bought 3 lines and the lathes have warped and leached tannins in to my Frette sheets. They suggest that it is mould and they have referred this matter to their parent company in the UK who suggest that i "don't use the lines too often" to allow the wood to dry. I use the lines irregularly anyway and this is not the issue. They won't cover shipping if i return the lines. All in all this has been a very frustrating process and this is a very inferior product and they have not offered to replace the lathes which would have been simple and an easy solution months ago. So in frustration i advised Lifestyle that i would write a google review if they could not attend to my problem in a timely fashion.
