I have never had such an experience at any other store. At the time, the store was not busy — I was the only customer at the checkout. The sales assistant asked if I needed a bag, and I replied that I had brought my own. I then handed her my bag. I paid in cash, and she gave me my change. When I was about to leave, I was surprised to find that she had simply placed both my bag and the items I purchased to the side.

I was a bit upset but chose to pack the items myself. Then, another customer came to the counter with two items. The assistant asked the same question — whether a bag was needed — and the customer said yes. This time, she packed the items for the customer after scanning them, and then completed the payment.

After the other customer left, I asked her why she hadn’t packed my items into my own bag. Was it just because I didn’t buy a bag from the store? She rolled her eyes at me and said it was because there was another customer behind me. That is not a valid reason. Shouldn’t the standard process be to scan the items, pack them, and then proceed with payment?

This was a very unpleasant experience. The behavior of this staff member was unacceptable and deeply disappointing.

Rather impressive range and equally impressive price.

Specialty stores like this usually come with an additional tax / cost on top of the products they import, but it doesn’t feel like the case here. Prices seem very reasonable, produce always looks fresh and there is a huge range of rice to choose from which is primarily why I shop here.

It’s hard to go by the wide selection of drinks and canned coffee that is also available here.

Extensive selection of Korean and Japanese food stuff. They also have a wide range of Asian food products. The quality seems good, although the fresh produce is a bit disappointing.
Prices are also higher compared to other Asian shops in Westfield but a good addition to the range to choose from.

This supermarket has a lot of variety including a mix of Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese products. They sell Wagyu beef and pork suitable for Korean BBQ, fresh fruit and vegetables, many varieties of tea and many types of rice, snacks and ice-cream. There is an isle for cooking pans, spices, endless frozen foods, lollies and snacks. They also have an extensive range of kimchi brands and ready to cook marinated meats. This store is a great addition to the existing supermarkets nearby, with many items to choose from that are not available in other Hornsby shops.

Seoul Mart is the latest addition to the Hornsby Westfield located where NAB bank used to be, offering ready to eat Korean foods as well as other Asian foods, fruits, veggies, frozen foods (Korean fried chicken), teas, skin care, cakes and more. Spacious and convenient!

We attempted to purchase a coffee pack advertised at a special price of $19.99. However, at checkout, we were told the special price had ended “yesterday,” and we were charged $28 instead. We went back to take a photo of the price tag, which clearly didn’t show any expiration date. Despite this, there was no apology, just an unfriendly refund process. Very disappointing service and not trustworthy. Make sure to double-check prices at checkout.

Shopping Experience is okay,
But I would like to remind everyone to be cautious of the shelf near the entrance of the store. This shelf blocks about 20 centimeters of the doorway and is very close to the checkout exit. Last time when my girlfriend was shopping, the entrance was crowded, and as she tried to avoid the crowd, she didn't notice the protruding shelf and it scraped her calf, leaving a scar to this day. If it had been a pregnant woman or a child, the consequences could have been much worse. I have already suggested this to the management of Hornsby Westfield, but half a year has passed and nothing has been changed.
Since then, we are never shopping there anymore

Really cool Asian food, pre sliced top range wagyu (which is quite expensive, eg: 20 buks for 150g) down to obviously lower grade/lesser cuts of wagyu for upto a kg per 20$.. some marinated bulgolgi, etc to.
All types of dumplings, gyoza, noodles all thr way to chocolates, ice cream and other candy treats. I always stop in when i pass even if just for a minute to see what I haven't spotted before or what's new.
I don't mind Asian food, especially meat and treats 😋
