Fresh food people ? Went to pick up a punnet of strawberries and they are growing ! I told a staff member in the fresh food section and he just looked at me couldn’t really speak English. So disappointed definitely will not be going back for a while.

A few years back the customer service was superb. I can’t help but to notice that the help desk and self service checkout staff have been changed over the last couple years. Sadly to say this, they are much less helpful and some of them even a bit rude. Wondering if they have been properly trained to be a customer service or the whole corporate culture has been changed.

regular shopper here

empty racks for basics mostly (egg, bread (specific brand), milk (specific brand),

not sure if this branch measures the demands over supply or maybe the supply itself is insufficient. I have tried going morning/afternoon/evening different times, same issue. If I get my choice of egg, bread, milk - feels like winning a lotto!

Dear Manager,
Today I was ā€œservedā€, or should I say
ā€œscornedā€ by a young Nepali lady with dark skin at the front counter name Asma not sure starting with A something
I ask you….. how friendly does someone have to be before anything remotely resembling customer service can be achieved?
Or does this person think that a customer is so privileged to simply be acknowledged by her give her some reason or right to be outwardly nasty?
I cannot believe she is in any form of customer service!
An awful experience.
Disgraceful
this is second time happened yesterday
around 3:50 sunday afternoon
i hope she can improve herself

I’m very familiar with this very busy and dynamic Woolworths. BUT I had an absolutely horror experience stuck on a full service checkout with a staff person who decided to have a major long and detailed chat while scanning the customer’s shopping in front of me.

Sadly this staffer lapsed into such a comfortable discussion the scanning of purchased items almost crawled to a complete halt. I was stuck there so long I warned multiple other customers behind me to use another checkout. It’s difficult to say how much time was wasted but what should have been a 5 min scan time blew out to what felt like 15 mins.

My photos will have my receipt, that will show the date, time and checkout where all this happened. This style of distracted ā€˜have a chat’ checkout service needs to be stamped out fast. You see as shoppers we have to get out of the shops quickly because we lead busy lives, time is money and if every shop has sluggish service that ignores a simple respect of service time all customers would be up for parking fees in wonderful Westfield Hornsby.

Once I was served I explained to the ā€˜have a chat’ staffer she needs to rethink her use of working company time and respect customers time. You see Woolworths are paying for this lovely chat at the checkout. This staffer seemed shocked I was prepared to spell out how she needs to respect customers time.

I’m sorry this is a very grumpy and descriptive review of a simple problem. But it’s something that a very busy Woolworths needs to address before more hapless shoppers get super frustrated stuck in a checkout where having a lovely long chat is far more important Vs serving customers in proper time.

You see Woolworths, Coles is just a short walk away. I’m hoping this store can shake out the problem going on here.

I've had quite a few interactions with young Nepali lady name Asma and I found she is doing a really great job in a demanding environment I don't envy working it.

Each time we visit Woolies, Wayne, one of the front of store staff, is always there and smiling. He is incredibly helpful and friendly, and he alone makes our shopping experience enjoyable. Every time we see him, he gives us a completely unique and personal greeting and often he stops for a brief chat. He is truly such a joy.

I was served by an incredibly rude and angry server today. I was standing in line behind an older woman and witnessed him speaking abruptly in a rude manner and thought to myself… wow ok, maybe I’ll change to the next check out however I already had the produce on the belt. The young man threw the plastic divider at the end of my items and glared at me before saying ā€œbags!!ā€ Shocked, I asked for bags please and then when I asked for money out he snapped at me saying ā€œI DONT DO THATā€ and looked at me like he wanted to scream in my face for daring to ask for money out. This was all witnessed by the manager behind him in the smoke shop section. I’ve never met someone so unfit for customer service. This isn’t good enough and his demeanour was quite unsettling.
