I contacted Hornsby electric a month or so ago, and after more than a week after contacting them, I finally got a reply, it was Cassandra the owner who replied in saying that it looks as though the bearings aren't working that well and that the standing fan needs to be replaced, to which I replied in asking if, just to be certain, which as a customer I am completely entitled to ask, which many a person in my situation would likely often ask, is if she or whoever it is that's part of the team could come in to just see what's going on with my standing fan to be certain and to help me resolve things with my fan, with the option to replace the fan being one of them but not the most preferred option but a viable option, for which I got not a single reply, it's more than a month later with no reply, and it just goes to show she assumed based on what I said of what needed to happen without even being a good listener, hearing my true thoughts and concerns, in not helping me out at all in actuality, and with nobody actually coming over to take a look at my fan.

I am not happy with the service at all, and I will contact another service company in the future, she was also ambiguous in not actually saying that I should get a new fan by myself. I was really hoping to stop my fan from making some weird sounds, which I've read electricians can help with, it's unfortunate. I think the next time I'll phone the company as I may be able to say or ask certain things in time in response to what is said, which can't be done via email with replies which may not even be responded to.

Wasn't even that hard to just come over, as I'm not that far away, and to take a look at things. Replacing a big standing fan for me is a big thing, and then to get exactly the same one (it is available as I checked), well, it's a whole process to throw away a large standing fan and then to go buy another one and then transport it back home, I definitely want an electrician's advice at my home, that's for sure.

It shows that sometimes they may make assumptions and not even decided to contact you any further and turn up to help you, while most of these reviews are five stars or higher, I definitely feel valid in what I'm saying in noticing that there are a couple or few others in the reviews who have a similar experience.

I was actually before receiving my reply email from Cassandra looking so incredibly forward to getting a reply, in feeling excited and hopeful, and super curious about any and all possibile outcomes with them coming over and what they may advise, definitely worth a 0 star, but unpleasantly they only let you give a one star, for whatever outdated reason.

And do know to whoever reads this message whether it be someone from Hornsby Electric or just another person on the internet, that whatever you're opinion, well everyone's entitled to their opinion, but I know what I said is valid and true, and I know I rambled, but everything I said is completely appropriate given the circumstances, and I hope to have a better experience in the future with whichever electrician it may be.

I needed downlights replaced, new switches, new sockets and an outside front door light fixed. There was an initial visit from an electrician and I received a fully itemised quote. After I accepted the quote, Claude came and fixed everything, cleaned up afterwards and he explained everything as he worked through the job. He was efficient, knowledgeable and easy to talk with. I would definitely use Hornsby Electric again.
