If you are after a builder for your next renovation, look no further than Chris and the team at Coolibah Building & Design. Just had a new Kitchen, main-Bathroom, Laundry, cladding and windows completed.

You will be kept update on the whole progress from start to finish and they happy to give you great advice when coming to make up your mind on finishes. Your place will be left tidy at end of each day.

The details and the workmanship was outstanding, and the whole renovation turned out much better than what pictured in my mind.

Attention to detail and quality work!!

Chris and his team assisted us in finishing our renovations after we had to dismiss our previous builder due to poor workmanship. Understandably builders don't typically like to take on a partially completed project, but Chris was happy to take on the job.

We met with Chris and Trent to go over the remaining project and they provided some great ideas. They dealt with the engineer with any changes and got the project moving quickly. The two guys on our project were Ben and Zane. Ben is very skilled and capable trades person and the attention to detail was impeccable.

We have done a number of renovations over the years and have dealt with many trades. Being a perfectionist myself can create its challenges when dealing with trades but I can truly say that Chris and his team exceeded my expectations.

I have no hesitations in recommending Coolibah Building & Design to anyone looking for a good quality builder.

Good trades are hard to find and worth the wait!!

The project was finished 7 months into an estimated 3 month program. Quality of work appears to be fine but communication and transparency was diabolical. 1/2 the tasks we needed to do were specifically excluded from the quote and other tasks did not make the scope. Obtaining invoices and copies of quotes from contractors was mostly impossible. There was no competitive quoting on work to be carried out even though we agreed to pay a 20% on cost for co-ordinating trades and providing materials which is well above the industry average.

You need to nail everything down in the scope from finely detailing the tasks to fully understanding allowances which are normally at the bottom end of the spectrum requiring an additional spend to obtain what we wanted.

We have made the decision to go elsewhere for the next stage.

One last tip, minute or record every meeting as Mr Scaife the owner does not write anything down and can have a very poor memory. A thoroughly frustrating experience.

To finish on a positive note, the renovated area looks great but I seriously had to increase my blood pressure medication 2 months into the project.
