Top day on Pittwater last Friday. We hired the pontoon boat. Very comfortable for 5. Managed to catch some nice fish off the Basin.
Compliments to the hirer Carl who could not have been more helpful. Boat in great condition. Well done and thank you.

My brother and I were traveling from Hungry Beach to The Basin and came across a couple of guys having capsized a rented catamaran. We asked them if they were ok as we’d watched them struggle righting the boat. They asked us to phone Carl from this company which I did. He just dismissively said they would be able to help themselves which was clearly not the case ( then hung up abruptly). We threw them a rope and pulled them upright. I found Carl a bit impolite when we were helping his customer.
Update: Carl contacted me regarding the 2 on the catamaran who were young employees who had borrowed the boat ( not customers) , and explained to me that they would have been ok given longer to right the boat.

Had a very nice trip on a tinny. To cruise around Pittwater all the way around Scotland Island and back took us ~4 hours with 3-4 stops on secluded beaches. Even though it's not a speedboat, and the water was choppy maybe half of the way, it was still absolutely doable (at least for 2 people in a boat). The boat, even though basic, was clean and well-maintained. Carl is a very nice person and has provided plenty of advice and answered all my questions. Price for the tinny is $120 for the first 2 hours, then $30/hour. Definitely recommend!
