I have also engaged with Greer Films services on a personal level for my small business. This has involved graphic design and logo design, brand strategy, social media strategy, and corporate headshots. Pat worked his magic behind the lens, and Mo's guidance and support with design and strategy elements has taken the pain out of start-up. A family member of mine won a wedding prize with part of that prize being a highlights package of their special day from Greer Films. It was decided to further hire Greer Films to film the reception after the ceremony & that included entrances, speeches, cake cutting, father-daughter dance and first dance with the bride and groom for Greer Film’s full package rate. What they received when editing was “completed" can only be described as nothing short of poor & amateur.

The speeches of the wedding party were so far out of sound and vision sync that it is unwatchable. When Greer Films were contacted by the bride to have it fixed the owner returned the footage with absolutely nil changes requested. The bride also within her full rights as a customer of the company questioned points set out in Greer Films own Terms & Conditions that were published on their website (of which mysteriously changed after the questions were asked. It is fortunate that these Terms & Conditions were screenshot prior to such changes). It bemuses one to think that for a wedding that you have been paid to cover you would make sure that the all important parts of the job including speeches are in sync and make darn sure that the father/daughter dance would be one of the most important things to film. Alas it seems that Greer Films felt the need to leave most of such important items out for some reason.

After numerous requests for answers from the now quite upset bride it was revealed that Greer Films did not capture it. Further email correspondence received from the owner of Greer Films was rife with shocking & blatant passive aggression directed at the bride (who is of kind and gentle nature) requesting her to let him known when his own poorly edited video was downloaded from his server so he could delete it. Obviously not a people person or willing to be able to admit fault or errors on their own part.

Since learning of this entire fiasco enquiries have been made with other professional video services to compare how they would have dealt with this situation. 100% of the feedback received from them was that of absolute horror by not only seeing the video result for themselves and reading the passive aggressive correspondence Greer Films sent to the clients who paid full freight for the "privilege" of having Greer Films record their special day.

As a huge believer of supporting local businesses this upsets me with this obvious “take the money & run” approach adopted by Greer Films to spew out a subpar product. It really is unforgivable. I am just upset I cannot rate this Google Review any lower than 1 star.

Next time you need something filmed and are looking for video professionals it is strongly recommended you look elsewhere other than hiring Greer Films. Alternatively you could just reach into your pocket and hand your mobile phone to your 8 year old nephew to film it instead.
