Absolute grubs. There’s people sleeping in their cars that have been stranded in home hill for days waiting for the 200mm of flood water at plantation creek to drop to pass. however, locals can come and go as they please just for pleasure purposes that don’t even live on the south side of plantation creek. That’s disgraceful how they can be selective like that and get away with it!

Absolutely pathetic council, can't even clear the green waste from the kerb after a natural disaster, all they say is the green waste facilities are free but what about the people who don't have a trailer or Ute that can not get the green waste removed, than they want to put our rates up, for what. Pathetic service.

We stayed at Alva Beach Caravan Park and that was fantastic, but what we really were impressed with was the friendliness of EVERYONE that we spoke to, every shop, petrol station, bank, car dealership we went to the staff were so pleasant. We even had someone in the street ask us for directions and we couldn't help them so a local came up and helped the person. Congratulations to the township of Ayr as we have not enough words to say on how friendly the town is... keep up the good work as we are going to let everyone know. Also a big thankyou goes out to the lovely lady at the Tourist Information Centre, I was told that she is the town icon, well she deserves that title as she went far and beyond in helping me pick locations to go to while we were in the area. Thankyou.

Always forget about Home Hill when it comes to public works, some roads are not wide enough for 2 cars, guttering & bike ways just stops & yards flood due to storm water issues, recently resurfaced roads that had nothing wrong & did a bad job. Not a happy rate payer.
