Sad night all round. Expensive and they don't accept Defence ID for members. Not linked to RSL. Then charged for sauce that says free and they would not refund adnitting they should have said when I ordered it that wasn't complimentary. Young guy knew nothing of meals.
Good range of pokies even if I lost on them too.
$39.50 for chicken schnitzel with poor tasting expensive garlic sauce 😥

Not entirely sure what’s happening at the local Anzac Club but it seems to have gone off the boil a bit. It was always a hive of activity and great place to go and be, but lately it’s definitely changed. Don’t know why. The food has changed, not necessarily for the better and the most obvious thing is the really loud yelling in the kitchen. Is everyone hard of hearing or do they just yell now ? And the other night the service was unbelievably slow. I allowed for it being the busy rush hour etc but it still went way past time. Having said that, it doesn’t help when a group of 7 women finally make it to the order post THEN decide to look at the menu and take 25mins to get thru ordering. They also need a separate area for phone orders to collect and go, like at the supermarkets. That’s the whole point. Otherwise you’re standing in line while they take forever and your dinner has gone cold and soggy. Everything seems to be oily now too. Not sure what’s going on there.
