On the Central Coast for the Coastal Twist Festival we headed to Woy Woy for D & L Witchard for a dozen unshucked triploid Pacific oysters ($20). Dale, a third generation oyster farmer in Patonga Creek, called small, but proved to be lovely briny mouthfuls. With an Atlantic salmon that looked like it had just jumped out of the ocean in his display, we were also tempted into some locally caught dusky flathead fillets ($60/kilo) that we crumbed and panfried for fish finger sangas the next day. Great seafood!

Fresher and better quality than anything at the major supermarkets, and I've found the staff are up for a chat about what fish to choose / methods to prepare which is helpful.

Amazing local fishmonger. Provided us with good advice on their produce and we bought some locally caught Mulloway fish which was fantastic just cooked with lemon juice and butter. Would recommend paying them a visit if you're in the area.

Best seafood! Small business who values freshness and quality. Some people on here mention such a limited selection but they only sell what is caught locally and to me that’s more important. Support small business and a family of fisherman who have been here for decades. You can’t beat em!

Oysters and Tiger Prawns at this fine shop are to die for! I've never had better. The lovely couple who own and run this delightful shop are very helpful with their suggestions. I'm going back for more tomorrow!!!
