I have lived in mannering park , right beside this power station since 1972 and my family has since 1969. I have allways excepted the fact this power station has been a very important piece of infrastructure for the supply of electricity , as well as being a large scale form of employment for many family's for many years . We are now approaching the year 2024 , and the power station is still running , and with a very basic approach to maintenance and waste material handling , as well as the general upkeep of the whole plant. THE ASH DAM IS FULL . ITS TIME TO CLOSE IT DOWN.

This power station is way past its use by date. The air pollution of PM2.5 is deadly, particularly to children and people with respiratory illnesses. We deserve better especially when there are clean cheap alternatives.

We have the resources to produce Electricity using coal products instead of selling it to the Asians!
Solar is good, but there’s limitations with production of Electricity to the Grid.
Batteries are too expensive and panels have a limited life span which in turn creates a problem in burying products that can’t be effectively recycled!

Dirty! Should be converted to gas (like Munmorah was).. this is outdated technology, unfortunately still used today. The local coal dust and the toxins emitted through their stacks are making local residents sick.
