One word, incompetent.
Struggled to complete a tax return even with supplied tax statements.
Don't reply to emails.
Save your money and go to a proper accountant.

Lodged my taxes but process was so difficult due to accountant not answering any emails or phone calls , first time using h&r block and will definitely be my last !! Very poor service .

Good morning,
I attended your office in 2008 as a teenager to sort out several years of tax returns including from when I was under 18. I was assured by the accountant that these were all handled, and being 18, I trusted her implicitly. Since then I have lodged annual tax returns, including at several other H & R Block franchises around Australia and was under the impression that I was up to date on my returns. Fast forward to 2020 and an update to mygov which I have used to lodge tax returns on numerous occasions myself, and I have been advised that the 2004, 2005 and 2006 returns I was assured by your practice had been sorted were not. I am now having to pay $500 to have these returns done because of the incompetence of your practice. I am thoroughly unimpressed.

The accountant was very helpful in answering my questions about my situation as a student and has not worked full hours. Was advised by things that I could claim and some tips to get more out of my tax. Even if I said I am not sure yet if I will use their service or not.

I changed from H&R City office to Leanyer office. Although I had to wait for 15 minutes due to the previous client who brought her unorganised receipts, my tax officer, Jonathan came out and apologised in person, not via receptionist. He was friendly, thorough, efficient and informative while dealing with both my personal and business tax. Glad that I don't need to drive all the way down to the city office any more.
